Why does my mum hate me listening to rock?

My mum trys to stop me from listneing to Jimi Hendrix, Led zepplin, Metallica, The Rolling Stones, Van halen just to name a few she says its the work of the devil shes very religious and i dont believe in god or any of that why wont she just shut up about rock being so bad i mean i get A's in Science, English, History and Geography

Rock isn't bad at all the kind of music you listen to doesn't define who you are besides van halen and Metallica are soo much better then scream/metal bands like cannibal corpse or slipknot where they sing about virgin sacrifices lol

that must be hard dude.

find someone who is close to your mother and open minded (your mom's friends or siblings maybe) and ask them to help you change her mind.

You could even ask your teachers who know you well to tell her that rock music doesn't have any bad effects on our education and music is a necessity for young people. (although that wouldn't be possible if you're studying in a religious school.)

Try all peaceful and diplomatic solutions that come to your mind to convince her.

If none of them work, just ignore her and enjoy your music...

Tell her that God isn't real.

Rock is not bad. It gave me a whole lease of life. Listen to some Satanic black metal and turn it up. If she tells you she doesn't like it, change it back to the awesomeness. If she carries on complaining, just tell her to stuff it and tell her "it's what make makes ME happy, mom."
