My list already:
ACDC
Aerosmith
Alice Cooper
The Beatles
Billy Idol
Billy Joel
Bob Dylan
Bon Jovi
Bruce Springsteen
David Bowie
The Doors
The Eagles
Elton John
Eric Clapton
Guns N' Roses
John Mellencamp
Johnny Cash
Kiss
Motley Crue
Nirvana
Pink Floyd
Poison
The Police
Prince
Queen
The Ramones
The Rolling Stones
Sting
Styx
Twisted Sister
U2
Van Halen
The Who
Some of these aren't exactly classic rocky so recommend anything. I don't usually like newer bands (though there are a few) so if I'm missing any classic rock bands that are must haves let me know and I'll try them out. The only type of music I rarely like is rap. Thanks!

I'm very surprised you don't listen too the Foo Fighters. I'd say their most classic/finest album is "In Your Honor", its a classic hard rock album. "Echoes Silence Patience & Grace" is also a very good classic hard rock album. And of course "The Colour And The Shape", its their most hard rocking album. I HIGHLY recommend you listen to those 3 albums. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Other bands:

Queens Of The Stone Age

Finger Eleven

Pearl Jam

Soundgarden

Radiohead

Live(first 2 albums)

i'll edit this and add some more when i get the time, cause i'm at school right now -.-

Yeah, given your other tastes, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, and Santana immediately leap out, especially the mighty Zepsters, who manage to combine hippie-ish artsy beauty and wild heavy-as-hell metal. You might also try Jethro Tull- some of their stuff is an acquired taste, but Aqualung is a great hard rock album by any measure. Also, early Black Sabbath totally kicks ***. Also try Deep Purple, Judas Priest, Neil Young ("Everybody Knows This is Nowhere" for the more rockin stuff), and if you want to have some more obscure ones, Traffic, Ten Years After, Budgie, and Atomic Rooster. And for heavy, Zeppelin/Sabbath-influenced grunge, try Soundgarden.

Led Zeppelin, Rainbow, Deep Purple, illScarlett, and Tool. Some of them may resonate with you, others might be quite the contrary. Led Zeppelin is a personal favorite of mine, so make sure to check them out.
