Do You Think Bo Diddley was Ahead of His Time? (please read entire Q)?

.
...and Can You Think of anyone who used a "heavier rhythm" and songs with NO Chord changes (that's like staccato Punk!)?

I'm not sure if Buddy Holley's "Not Fade Away" was before Bo Diddley or not -

You're opinions are most desired and welcome to my humble Q :)

Diddley was before Holley, who copied his style on some of his songs. This was the beginning of rock and roll, and he was a big part of the sound, as were many of the older blues artists who continue to influence music today.

I listened to 2 Bo Diddley albums all the way through this past saturday while I was cleaning my apartment. Very nice.

Buddy Holly recorded a song entitled "Bo Diddley." So, he obviously admired him and sought to learn from him.

Did you say "heavier rythm with no chord changes"?
