(And why if you want to elaborate)

Mine's Evanescence.

I wouldn't say they're the best band ever, but they're my favourite because I think Amy Lee's a really talented singer and song-writer, and despite the band changing a lot since they first started, Evanescence is still really good (in my opinion), and I haven't really disliked any of the songs they've written so far. Most of my favorite songs are from when David Hodges (left in 1999) and Ben Moody (left in 2003) were still members and co-writers, but I think The Open Door (2006) has been good too with Terry Balsamo (guitarist and co-writer).

BQ: What's your favorite genre of music?
BQ2: What do you think contributes more to a band, the songs they play and/or write, or their ability to play their instruments (including singers)?

Do you agree?

And how are you? ( =

They're my favorite. Evanescence is good but i'm not into mainstream goth-rock. As for Sirenia they're like Gothic Symphonic Metal. It's just to bad they have had four different singers for four different albums.

BQ: Death Metal

BQ2: They even out if you can't play an instrument well you won't be able to right the best music you could so the writing skills are better unless it's the singer. They must know how to sing!

BQ3: No that's more like stereotyping. everyone is different.

Mine is Evanescence too!!! I think the Open Door was an awesome album because some of the songs were amazing, but some were okay. On fallen all of them were really good, but the Open Door is my favorite

BQ: alternative, rock, and metal

BQ2: probably their ability to play instruments and sing

BQ3 I don't really agree with that because people can listen to the music they like without being labeled :)

Linkin Park

It's my favorite because there isn't a song they've made that I don't like. They've also been my first favorite band, and it's because of them that I listen to the bands I like today. If I never got into Linkin Park I'd probably still be listening to mainstream pop :P And I never get tired of their songs. Every time I hear their song I love it as much as always.

BQ: Any kind of rock

BQ2: Both. It just can't be a good band if they are lacking either.

BQ3: I disagree. I think it's all just stereotyping. And it doesn't make any sense. I think music and personality are not linked, because it's impossible all fans of a genre or band to be the same. And I know people that contradict their "study" or whatever.

Relient K, Matt Thiessen's vocals come straight from his heart. If he's feeling happy, the result is upbeat songs. If he's down, the songs resemble it. He had a girlfriend recently and his album around the time he was with her was upbeat. But now they broke up and the new album has down songs.

BQ: different types of rock

BQ2: the lyrics and the singer's voice

BQ3: Somewhat agree. Not all fans of rap are black.

I'm doing alright. Have had better days, though. How are you?

Bob Seger

Classic Rock & Classic Country

That's hard because I think it all has to come together to be a hit, for the sake of your question I will say the instruments and singers but it is still really important, the quality of the songs

No! I disagree

Good Question!

Black Sabbath

I love Tony Iommi's guitar playing,Bill Ward's drumming,Geezer Butler's bass and Ozzy's singing. Ozzy might not be the best vocalist ever, but the passion he has when he sings more than makes up for his lack of vocal talent and range.

ba: i don't pay attention to labels...if i "hear" and receive the vibe of music it doesn't matter what label it's given.

ba2: the ability to play and make music up on the spot.

ba3: i disagree....you wouldn't think nancy pelosi, al gore, gregg ginn of black flag, bill walton, or phil jackson were deadheads by looking at them, would you?
