Although these guitars have received great feedback, you should definitely try one out for yourself. Some times the first batches shipped from the factory is far better quality than the later ones. The reason of course is to get the instruments introduced to the market with a favorable impression.

I'm not saying this is the point here - it's just a general observation I've seen happening more than once with entry level guitars.

Also, in a store, you can make sure the guitar is properly set up with strings that suites your playing style. This makes a huge difference.

If you can't try them out, and you have to pick between these two - you should probably go with the spruce top one.

Neither. Go to guitar center and play something off the shelf. Buying a guitar online is never a good idea, even if you already checked in in-store. And nato is a pretty crappy wood. On an electric guitar, it doesn't matter, since the pickup and amp is responsible for most of the sound, but on an acoustic, it will sound out.

Basically, I agree with Torbjom. You really need to play and hear the guitar before you buy it. At these prices I am surprised that thy have solid tops, cost-cutting measures will include almost non-existent quality control and setting up.

Guitar tops are not usually made from mahogany but spruce is often used. Therefore, without hearing them, I'd go for the spruce. Don't know of anything wrong with nato.

GARBAGE!! Spend the money on a good used guitar instead. Notice that this company is called 'Vintage' and are ripping off the much better 'Vantage' name. Buy a used Takamine, Vantage, Yamaha, Epiphone. Seagull, or Washburn for that kind of money

Ew. Nato.

I'd stay away from guitars with Nato wood. It's like a cheap, crappy Mahogany that sounds very dull.

Bragging online wont get you Crap in the shop. till I've actually picked it up and played it, its just another POS Chinese guitar, but don't get me wrong I've played many Asian built guitars and was like, Really? not bad, for that price buy 2, just make sure the second one plays as well as the first.
