What I did was found a kinda small music venue around where I live that played the type of music I was into. Just google venues and your city if you don't know of any. Just check up on their myspace, site, whatever, to see what bands they have playing. I found like..over 40 amazing bands from doing that. A lot of unsigned bands too, which was really awesome.

Try to uncover some smaller local bands!

My personal favorite (though I'm biased) is Good Day Reflection.

Farewell is bigger, but a lot like some of the other bands listed.

Dylan Gilbert is another of my favorites... you may like him.

But sublime appears to be the popular answer, so what do I know?

THE CAB. I didn't see it on your list, but they're amazing.

Also, look up Fletch on iTunes. They opened for Panic At the Disco's very first show, and they're pretty good. :)

I LOOVE your music taste. (I thought I was the only one who knew Julia Nunes!) :D
