-The Hollies

-Electric Light Orchestra

-Procol Harum

-Cat Stevens/Jim Croce/Harry Chapin (they have All been eligible since 1991!!)

-Badfinger

bq: Your choices are very good. The only reason i Didn't mention The Guess Who and Rush were because you did

mq: Yeah, i don't understand their selection process, it seems based more on how big of a draw the person will be to the museum rather than influence and talent sometimes. Not all of the time. But its just sad to see some of the really deserving artists that Aren't in.

Grand Funk Rail Road one of the best rock bands to come from America.

Todd Rundgren...Great song writing skills, Killer guitar great voice. Let's talk about his curriculum vitae as a producer and engineer: Meat Loaf, XTC, Patti Smith, New York Dolls, Badfinger, Tubes, Cheap Trick, Psychedelic Furs, Hall & Oates, Janis Joplin, Jesse Winchester, the Band, James Cotton, Paul Butterfield, Foghat, Pee Wee's Playhouse, Shaun Cassidy, Rick Derringer, Grand Funk, Alice Cooper, Pursuit of Happiness, Jill Sobule, Bourgeois Tagg, Bad Religion...and this is just a partial list.

Genesis....Artistic to a fault, but blisteringly intelligent (not to mention melodic) in ways few bands even approximate today. Wacky concepts in the Gabriel days gave way to proletariat adult pop with Collins at the helm, leading to respective solo careers that outclassed the mothership in both sales and influence.

and: Judas Priest, Chicago, Edgar Winter Group, Blood Sweat And Tears, Def Leppard, Donovan, Herman's Hermits, Joe Cocker, Manfred Mann, Paul Butterfield, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Spencer Davis Group, Ted Nugent.

BQ: great list

MQ: yes we can.

take care

NEIL SEDAKA. One of the absolute best pop songwriters of his generation. (And, yes, pop singers are eligible. The Platters are in. And they deserve to be.)

NEIL DIAMOND. Forget that garbage he did in the 80s like "Heartlight." This man was smoking in the 60s with songs like "Thank the Lord for the Nighttime" and "Cherry Cherry."

POCO. If you're going to have the Poco impersonators in there (the Eagles), you should put the band where they learned it from in as well. Plus, with a roster that includes Jim Messina and Richie Furary, how can you go wrong?

STEVE MILLER. His lyrics are as lame as they come. However, he has been selling consistently for 43 years. How much longer can his career go without being recognized?

MOODY BLUES. Yeah, you can have a "hall of fame" without including two of the most successful acts of the 60s through 80s (Miller and the Moodies). Give me a break.
