the last song was 'hey joe' by 'the leaves'. upon further research it is not original version but the first commercial release, authorship is still under debate, but an obscure folk singer 'billy roberts' has claimed it, but it most likely a traditional song of unknown authorship.

this song was performed in 1972 on 'the old grey whistle test' on what was one of roxy music's earliest TV appearances.
is this where the R&P user 'ladytron' got her name?

Not my favorite Roxy song but it was cool hearing and watching it again.

Ladytron is also the name of an English band that started in 1999.

I enjoyed that :)

My mum is a Roxy Music fan, and I actually think I may have seen that video a few years ago when the BBC was looking back at classic OGWT moments...

Though Bryan looked like love wasn't the only drug for him!

{I know I shouldn't say that, I know, but he looked very much out of it!}

I like that song very much. However, in the many times I have heard it in the past, I never realized there was an oboe in it, it never crossed my mind, obvious as it was once I saw the video. I love the oboe. Thanks for posting it!
