Question:
Have KoRn lost their touch?

In my opinion, they have gone downhill ever since guitarist Head departed the band. "See You On The Other Side" was underwhelming, and their newest album "Untitled" is just appalling. I want the old KoRn back, I want more songs like Blind, and Got The Life, and Here To Stay, and Did My Time. These days their music is way too over-produced. The songs have no raw emotion in them, no heaviness, just synthesized beats and electronic sound effects. That's all it is to me. Maybe it's because Head left. Maybe he gave the band's music that ultra-heavy groove that they're missing now. I still love KoRn, I always have and always will, but they just can't live up to their legacy anymore.

What do you guys think?

i agree completly with what u said, i used to be a huge korn fan and stuff like blind, ****** etc were some of the best songs i had ever heard. but now they have just gone too commercial. like u said no emotion or anything. a few years ago i saw their tour in sydney with fear factory and static x and i was so schocked by the lack of emotion in jonathon's vocals and whole performance. when i think about how crazy they were in the nineties with shoots and ladders etc it saddens me.

however now head has left the band there is def no hope.

unlike other people i did actually liked issues. i think their album- i cant remeber what its called was it something about a mirror? sorry mental black ahhahah yeh that one was the last of any talent in my opinion.

so yeh i agree mate.:)

I think you're right. There definitely had been a missing link since head left. But I think Head is happy now in his current situation, and personally, I'm happy for him too. I'm just hoping for the best to what is left with Korn. Plus David Silveria is on hiatus from the band, so definitely they're depleted in terms of creative juices.

Hey peeping.. I think you're talking about Life is Peachy. :-)

It may pi$$ some peeps off here but Korn was the sound of a time period. They created a sound for the time. They did not have the creativity or focus required to keep delivering NEW sounds and setting standards. Their time came and passed. They are now just Products of the Biz!

With "Issues," I think KoRn started going downhill. They hit their peak with "Follow The Leader." When the members started disappearing, it was over. It's just about done. Sucks because I was a huge KoRn nut back in the day.

They went down hill since Untouchables,Issues was'nt that good but it was better than anything they put out since,I dont know what happened to them I used to love them in the 90's and never missed a show, now I could care less they just dont have anymore and it's disappointing

no remember if reliable or undesirable, whilst Brian Welch left the band for his Christian faith, the band replaced. enable the band produce although song they desire for it quite is on the component in creative profession they desire to be at now. They did have a reliable run and not all bands have large albums for the era of their profession. verify out Alien Ant Farm doing Micheal Jackson's "comfortable offender". Rap and hip hop could have some large lyrics in simple terms awful song and vice versa.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed that. It's what happens to most bands though. Someone leaves or dies and that member can't be replaced. The same can be said for The Who when Kieth Moon died or Led Zeppelin when John Bonham died.

Korn, SlipKnot... they never even reached their peak. I knew NU Metal wouldn't last long. It was just a fad during 1999 to 2004. After that, they all vanished into thin air.

I agree.

To me,

as soon as Head left,

KoRn went downhill,

and it is an utter shame because they were an amazing band.

Always will be one of my favorites.
