Question:
good punk bands: anyone know any good ones?

its fine if its punk mixed with another genre, most of the music i listen to is mixed genres.. but none of that cookie cutter "pop-punk", emo stuff please.

im into bands like alkaline trio, am taxi, polar bear club, the misfits [mainly with glenn danzig], the casualties, the distillers, less than jake, and cobra skulls. One band ive heard, but don't know much about is face to face. i saw them play once at warped tour, and they seemed pretty damn awesome. so if you have any songs by them that you would recommend, please do.

but if you know a good punk band that i didn't have in this list, it would be greatly appreciated if you were to tell me. even if you think i would have heard them by now, list them. im 16, and I still have alot of bands i haven't heard yet.

hah, thanks for probably reading only the first couple of sentences.

I'm not into the punk genre too much, but I do share your hatred for pop-punk.

I don't know really, have you listened to Arch Enemy, they're not really punk but they are quite heavy so you may be interested.

One punk band I like is Gallows, they're really good.

Maybe out of the punk region you could try Epica or Halestorm because they are fantastic.
