Question:
R&P: Do you have any connections to any famous musicians?

My grandmother's cousin was roommates/best friends with Art Garfunkel. They're still close to this day. My grandfather also cut Garfunkel's hair.

BQ: What band posters do you have hung around your house/apartment/condo/abandoned factory?

My dad went to school with and was friends with the Barenaked Ladies.....if they count as famous. He was hanging out with them when they wrote their song 'You Can Be My Yoko Ono". They recorded it for a class project.

BQ: I actually don't have any at the moment....but in my house there are a couple Beatles posters, and the original edition of Twist and Shout, by the Beatles...not too much band artwork in my house...

Not really in music. My dad was big into the Minneapolis music scene in the late 70s early 80s and I know he hung out with bands like the Suburbs, Husker Du, and The Suicide Commandos if you've ever heard of any of those.

If you were talking about hockey, I could give you at least 10.

I know Marko Desantis from Sugarcult from a music camp thing. Also..my friend's good friend is Ashley Welch, Elliott Smith's half sister. Elliott Smith is my favorite musician ever, so I'm pretty jealous lol

BQ: strictly musicwise, I only have Elliott Smith, Daniel Johnston, and Conor Oberst. But I also have quite a few movie posters.

One of my brothers best friends (I've met him a few times as well, most recently when he was performing on a cruise ship) is Andy Kim who had a few top ten hits, but was also the co-writer of "Sugar Sugar" by the fictional band The Archies, which was the number 1 single of 1969.

BA: I'm a hopeless avid collector. I have one room in my house that's pretty much a rock n' roll with many framed pics and posters.

My mom went to high school with Craig Chaquiço. They were friends, but not well enough to maintain connection to this day.

Another one: my aunt used to shop and hang out at the same fruit stand as Grace Slick (post-retirement). They'd talk and stuff, about how nice the flowers or the fruit that day were.

BA: None, actually.

My stepdad's uncle once spent a day with The Beatles (he was a writer for the paper) in/near Boston during their first tour

Edit: Just thought of another one, my mom went to the same college as the members of Dinosaur Jr. (she didn't know them, and she's never heard of Dinosaur Jr., but she was there at around the same time as them)

Bobby Vee lives in central Mn,

we had lake lots a few miles apart, he used to come over to our house, with his kids a lot, back in the early 80's, and our kids wen to his house.

We still stay in touch with Bob and his family.

I've known Jonny Lang, since he was about 13.

I've know Shannon Curfman, one of Jonny's protoges, since she was 12.

She is Kid Rock's guitar player now.

I have seen her play live a lot of times, in Fargo/Moorhead, and Phoenix.

Poco's bass player/singer, Jack Sundrud, has been a friend since right after high school

We also stay in touch.

Michael Clute has been a friend since he was in Jr High,

He then ran sound for Poco, and worked in Nashville studios, when Poco was off the road.

He produced Faith Hills first CD,

and been Diamond Rio's producer for about 10 years,

has won several CMA's with them,

we also stay in touch.

Michelle Branch's parents live about a block from us,

and her baby loves our dog, Lucky.

A little while Maltese.

edit

it sad, when the trolls hate my answers so much, that they will put down good bands too????
