what style of rock do you like?? (emo,screamo,hard,metalcore ect)?

hi.. i asked this earlier just trying to get exspand my rock music collection... just list your fave styles of rock wether thatd be emo screamo classic metal ect ect.. also if its not to personal your age.. the reason i ask your age is because i wanted to see if theres any link in your age and the style of rock you like.. im 22 and really into melodic metal bands such as killswitch scar symmetry and bullet for my valentine,also like screamo emoish bands such as brokencyde ( i know hate on me lol) alesana, armo for sleep ect..thanks!

Core and Rock are much different. I like prog rock and hard rock, but metalcore and hardcore are different renditions of the core genre which seems to have broken off from more modern metal genres like death, grind, and even nu metal. Much different style and genre to call rock.

I like punk. ( Ramones, The Clash, The Stooges ( which is not really punk but who cares ? ) The Misfits,... ) "New" punk ( The Offspring, The Distillers, Green Day ( especially their 90's songs ) Blink-182 )

Metal ( System Of A Down, Nightwish, Pantera, Metallica, Drowning Pool, Rammstein.... )

Typical english bands like Oasis, The Libertines...

And some other stuff like Foo Fighters ( f.cking great band ), My Chemical Romance, Rage Against the Machines, Social Distortion, 30 Seconds To Mars...



Actually almost ALL kinds of rock.. ( But not emo/screamo... )

I listen to all types of rock including Hard rock, alt., Alt metal, nu-metal, screamo, Classic rock/metal,metal, heavy metal, metalcore and post hardcore, Some punk and ska. And some emo.

@Socially Akward - an INDIVIDUALs taste in music does NOT give you a right to hate on them. With that said, As much as BrokenCyde would like to think they're screamo, they are crunkcore and they are pretty awful.

I like metal, at the minute I'm listening to a lot of atmospheric or symphonic black metal, as well as stuff from mayhem and burzum, also I like melodic death metal a lot, but to be honest I like most sub-genres of metal, except the modern metalcore bands and things like this, sorry but I think it's gay :)

i love all types of rock and its all good, my favorite though is screamo and hard rock. i love the band avenged sevenfold they are the best band now in my opinion because they are so strong and keep going after the drummer and best friend died. i love them and feel as though they are personal with their music.

you dont know what screamo is. brokencyde is crunkcore and that genre shouldnt exist. your grammar is terrible and brokencyde is misogynistic, so i have every right to "hate on" you.



to answer the question, i like punk, ska, alternative, and post-hardcore.



@mallory: brokencyde promotes hatred and an unhealthy lifestyle (drinking, partying, being stupid, down-putting of women). He is encouraging people who only hurt society. They are no better than skrewdriver in this sense. I find that there is every good reason to hate hate.
