Question:
Rock and Pop: You guys are smart, *please* help me?
2008-09-10 19:06:13 UTC
I know I ask a lot of off topic questions here, some for fun, some because you guys are very knowledgeable and can always help me.

Anyways,
I want to know how you "forget" someone.
I made a huge eff up today and screwed everything between me and someone important to me. Now she's gone forever, and I need help as to how to stop thinking about her. Guys what do you suggest?

I know I sound like a broken record player and a stupid teenager, but I am a stupid teenager, so please understand that.

MQ - Songs relating to forgetting someone/getting over someone?
AMQ - Songs that will cheer me up (like a happy or upbeat tune)

That's a tough situation.

I don't think you can ever really forget somebody. Just surround yourself with people that make you happy (sorry if I sound Mom-ish), and I'm sure things will go right.

Good luck!

Listen to some Sublime or Bob Marley. Guaranteed to cheer you up.

Sublime - Scarlet Begonias (Grateful Dead cover), One Cup of Coffee (Bob Marley cover, very upbeat).

Bob Marley - Three Little Birds, Stir It Up.

It's gonna hurt for awhile. You can't completely forget someone. That will always be part of your memories and history.

Time will allow the pain to subside. Also meeting people or getting yourself involved with an activity or hobby will allow your brain to focus on other things.

You need to get closure. Talk to her, find a solution and ultimately closure. I know it will be tough but you can make it. Go Kodi!
