The best drummers were the Jazz Big Five ~ Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Louis Bellson, Max Roach, and Lenny White. But since this is R&P, I presume you mean Rock drummers. Bonham was *among* the best Rock drummers, but idk if I would say he was even the best of his own generation.



Carl Palmer, Bill Bruford, Neil Peart, Terry Bozzio, Cozy Powell, Ginger Baker, Mitch Mitchell, Aynsley Dunbar, Levon Helm, Alan White, Carmine Appice, Ian Paice, and maybe even Stewart Copeland would have given Bonzo a run for his money. When you get to that level, there's really know way to say who is *best*. He was one of the greats, that's for sure.... and yes he was better than Moon.

Definately Neil Peart listen to songs like Tom Sawyer, Anthem, 2112, Subdivisions . He's the best drummer of all time.

I've held that stance for years. Bonham rules.

The first time I listened to Physical Graffiti all the way through I turned to my dad and was like, wow who is that drummer? He is magnificent!

Quite a lot of his peers said he was in a TV documentary. Some said that he and Keith Moon were the best.

nope, he is good but very very overrated, even at the time ian paice from deep purple was a much better drummer than bonham
