oh, yeah, and "zhong nan hai" by the carsick cars. i discovered a few of these songs for my playlist right here on yahoo answers - songs i was referred to that i now know+ like, by city archaic, mute math, rival sons, the national and puddle of mudd. hopefully i will get more knowledgeable answers so i can add to the above list. i need to find music with an energetic beat and singing and guitars of some substance. for instance look at the singing in the national's song "anyone's ghost," look at the drumbeat, the guitars. what i'm looking for would fall in the categories of rock music, garage rock, garage punk, indie rock, punkrock, post-punk, grunge, postgrunge, alternative, alternarock, sometimes gothic rock.. please try to give me an informed list of songs that really resemble those on the above list. also dont tell me of search engines that refer you to songs that arent even similar. i already know of last.fm and pandora, often when searching "similar to" some band, those sites just tell you random things that are only remotely, vaguely similar or somewhat alternative. instead, just tell me your own musical suggestions. i always find recommendations by actual ppl on and off the web, more useful than ones i find on search engines. please gimme more answers, serious ones plz
