Any classic rock bands that sound like My Chemical Romance?

Question

Of course Pink Floyd instantly comes to mind as they were their main influence on The Black Parade album particularly on the track "The End", witch in an interview, one of the band member said that it purposely emulated "In The Flesh?". Also, In the booklet for The Special Edition of The Black Parade, it states the secant track, "Dead" was based of an The Electric Light Orchestra song witch it most certainly does.

So, any other classic rock bands that sound like MCR? Or should I say that MCR sounds like?

BQ:What bands have helped you the most through hard times? For me it's Cream, I don't know why but they really make me happy despite that their lyrics have nothing to do with personal issues for the most part.
