stipe of course, mike mills is one of the best bass players EVER, and peter buck, i love as he can play mandolin so sweetly, i also used to love bill berry, his eyebrows were just MAD lol

Stipe probably. They're all fantastic but if you didn't have Stipe REM would be some thing different altogether



Love REM. Seeing them in twilight live at Glastonbury on a gorgeous summer evening a few years ago was awesome. One of my best gig/festival memories.

Micheal Stipe has my vote, seen them at a gig this year, n nightswimming came on and he sat on the piano making us wait for him to start singing, everyone was anxious to hear the song, he certainly knows how to get the crowd going, he make the live performance that bit more personal! love r.e.m.!
