Nothing is wrong with listening to music from the last time good music existed. Pearl Jam's latest album is better than anything I've heard from any "current" artist. When Francis Bean's album comes out, I may, just may, turn my radio back on.

I listened to a lot of 90s music when I was in grade 9, but by grade 11 I had gone old school starting with the Beatles. I would really recommend you look into Pink Floyd. Eric Clapton, John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, and since you like Ozzy, check out some Black Sabbath. Neil Young, Rush, Bob Dylan I could go on and on!

Forget them! I'm stuck in an 80's/90's/now music hole. If it isn't Duran Duran or U2, it's Beastie Boys or Garbage, or it's M.I.A. or Royksopp. Hey, no worries. Oh! I love Filter, Metallica, Lit, Oasis, Green Day, and Collective Soul!

Eyah. You are stuck. Trust me, not a bad thing b/c I love most of those bands. But why not try something like the Black Lips from Atlanta, the Reigning Sound from NC, good rock and roll. Jay Reatard has a new albumn out. It's pretty amazing if you listen to it a bunch. I am a personal fan of Blonde Redhead. Try them out.

Why not take a jump sideways and listen to Afropop Worldwide, a nationally syndicated radio program. Check it out on the Web. Also, listen to Tuvan throat singing by a band called Huun Huur Tu.

YOUR MUSIC TASTE ROCKS!!! you like everything i like :)

if anyone says ur stuck in the 90s, dont worry, we all like different music and we all have different tastes, so dont let what other people think bother you. also, there are newer bands that are out that i may recommend as well. some take whats old and make it new again. I would say The White Stripes, The Raconteurs, or Velvet Revolver. Velvet Revolver is STP and Guns N Roses combined, minus axl. And Jack White takes what is old and makes it new again, so I think you would like the stripes and raconteurs. but like what you want :)

Dont get into emo. You listen to some pretty decent music if you asked me, but if you want to listen to more modern music, dont go mainstream. Buy an XM Radio, it's not that expensive. Listen to fungus 53. Awesome punk music and it's really easy to get into. Trust me, I listen to all of those bands you do and I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee the punk scene. Old and new.

Velvet Revolver is the first one that came to mind. Another band I would also suggest is Black Label Society. Personally I don't like most of the music out there today. Very Good list.

Haha, What's wrong with being stuck in the 90s? It's only 7 years ago and hells, I still listen to music from the 70s.

I know you've heard this a bunch of times and don't want to hear it anymore, but screw it...be who you are, listen to what you like, and tell everyone else to kiss your *bleep* (:P).

I get looked at strangely all the time cause I'm driving around with my windows down blasting Japanese music (I'm not Japanese). *shrug* It's who I am and I won't change just because someone thinks I should.

You should listen to whatever you like to listen to because that is who you are. If you listen to what other people think that you should be listening to then you are not really being who you are you are being who thy think that you should be and the problem with that is what thy think you should be changes every day! I like a lot of those same bands.

No one is stuck in anything besides their own world. You should feel obligated to give anything a chance... but you shouldnt let society dictate what is normal, cool, stylish, moral. Be versed in the new, but stick to what you like.

those are quality bands in my book. maybe to update your music taste, incorporate a little motion city soundtrack, OAR, the format, and possibly some fall out boy. i know, i know. everyone hates FOB. but patrick has a stunning voice, and pete's lyrics speak volumes. they're not just a dumb emo band. they are actually good. haha good luck & happy 4thhh! :)
