So, here are the nominees for 2016's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductees:

Nine Inch Nails
N.W.A.
The Smiths
Deep Purple
Janet Jackson
Chic
Steve Miller
Chicago
Chaka Khan
The Spinners
Cheap Trick
The Cars
The J.B.'s
Los Lobos
Yes

So, who do you think should get voted in this year?

Do you think some of these artists don't belong in the RRHOF?

Who would you like to see inducted into the RRHOF?

BTW, you can vote for your favorites from the list until December on the RRHOF website.

I want to say above all else the hall is a travesty and a joke. Its been proven time and time again. Really I dont have a problem with either, Deep Purple is still waiting to get its invite... Nine Inch Nails simply because of what Reznor has done as a contributor. By that I mean he's had a hand in several musical projects that where ultra successful, he has branched out into other categories of music almost seamlessly, in this industry nothing is perfect sorry to say it. Hes also attached to Johnny Cash one of the ultimate badasses of the industry. People are going to walk all over NWA but they are contributors and are hip hop and rap pioneers. What they did for the industry from a homegrown standpoint cannot be overlooked. The hall needs a major overhaul in its entirety but this is the best class of possible inductees in awhile. Its diverse and its not centered around on style or category of music.

Who gets nominated is a joke, and always has been. It's never been about who changed the face of rock music, or had a lasting influence. It's about who was popular and who the nominating committee happens to like. I think the only reason they nominated Yes (let's see if they actually get inducted) is because Chris Squire died recently, and maybe because there's been such a backlash from fans. Personally, I think only Deep Purple, Los Lobos and Yes deserve it. Besides the obvious ones that aren't rock, there are others that while good artists, just didn't make enough of a mark on rock to be worthy, like Steve Miller or the Cars. I like them both, but would today's music scene be different if either of those artists never made it? I don't think so.

Still waiting for a Phish nomination...

Deep Purple, Yes and Chicago are the most "worthy"

Janet Jackson and Chaka Khan are not Rock and Roll. They don't belong. Neither does NWA. Different Genres.

If they called it the "Music" Hall of Fame then maybe, especially NWA, even tho I'm not a rap fan , they definitely influenced music forever.

Nine Inch Nails needs like an edm hall of fame or something. Don't get me wrong I like their music but it's not rock.
