Me: 200 miles (one way). For several shows. Such is the price of living in a small town...

Back in high school, I used to hitchhike from Toledo, Ohio to Delray Beach, Florida every summer to see friends. It was one of those summers that we heard Hendrix was playing in Berkeley, California. We packed our backpacks and hitchhiked out to southern California from southern Florida (and back)! I'd do it all over again if Jimi were still alive and if hitchhiking was still safe.

The farthest I've gone for a concert was about 2031 miles to sunny Los Angeles, CA. I saw Jawbox during the summer of 1996, although I'll admit I didnt go there strictly for the concert. A close second place for The Crystal Method in Las Vegas for New Years 2004.

The farthest i traveled was an hour to go to warped tour. The farthest i would travel would be 5-8 hour. I would have traveled 5 hours to see Silverstein/A day to remember/The devil wears prada.

I lived in Michigan and went to the Toronto Pop Festival and also to Gooselake Pop Festival, and the very first Woodstock! There were many other concerts where I was even on the stage with John Lennon and Yoko Ono passing out buttons to "Free John Sinclair" - those were the good old days. Now I just go and see the Stones wherever they appear!! Love them!!!!!!!

I went about 6 hours to Minneapolis to see a concert, (I live in Chicago), then went to Indiana the next day to see the same band (Yes). I went to Milwaukee 3 weeks ago to see Todd Rundgren, then saw him again in Chicago 2 days later.

*Edit-Don't know if this counts, but there was a brief Utopia reunion in San Francisco ('92?) and I sort of planned my trip around going to the concert. I was going to that area anyway, but I did alter my itinerary to go....

I don't know the actual mileage but when I lived in Fort Wayne, IN, I went to Alpine Valley, WI for a couple shows and now that I'm back in CT I've traveled to Augusta, ME and as far south as Philadelphia.

400 miles. Minneapolis to Hoffman Estates, Illinois to see Neil Young in 1989.

Looking at the other answers, I guess it's not just a Midwestern phenomenon to measure distance in hours rather than miles.

Me - the distance from Manchester to Miami (4 and a half thousand miles) to see Blondie. And again twice to New York to see Blondie. Not obsessed at all, LOL.

About 40 Miles.. not so much really....

Now I live in suburbia, so I travel around 25 miles to the venues..

But I think I would travel even 100 Miles to see my fave band....

probably just a 1 and a half hour drive. but i've only been to two shows, but those two were last year. so i only started going to concerts last year, and my parents can be pretty tight but i'm planning on going to more shows this year.
