You probably just saw Knives and Pens. They are not like they were before. Their music sounds different, (listen to Fallen Angels). Also, they talk a lot about KISS and Motley Crue being an influence. They're not emo. Andy Biersack said it himself he said " I don't know what metalcore is, i don't know what emo is... i just know what rock and roll music is". So before hating, learn more about people. Oh yeah, I'm a guy.

First, Andy BIERSACK (Sixx was his stage name) is gorgeous, but you don't exactly buy their albums to listen to their faces, do you? Secondly, Emo isn't a fashion trend, it's a lifestyle. Also, it's less that they rip those bands off, more that they're influenced by them, like every other artist out there. Ask any artist and they'll tell you, they had to start somewhere. It's not just people who have had a tough life that listen to them. For one, the vocals, thanks to Andy, are beautiful. One MALE interviewer said that his voice was like melted butter, and he was an older guy. I also know multiple people who, while not being huge fans, like their music. Not all of Black Veil Bride's fanbase are 'emo' or teenagers. And your last sentence, retarded retard, if a retard was retarded, wouldn't that make them normal? Because retarded means there is something wrong, so they'd be normal.

Okay so first of all this isn't even a question, adding a question mark doesn't make it one. This is just an excuse for you to be a little **** and insult a band for no reason, and of course you're one of those people who says they ripped off other bands. There are a lot of emo/goth bands out there, and they aren't all going to be completely, 100% unique. Maybe sometimes they both wear makeup, but that doesn't make the bands the same.

Saying that the music is only for people with tough lives is a really stupid, shitty thing to say. Yes, some people who have had hard lives listen to BVB but that doesn't mean their music is invented for that. They are trying to help people get through their problems and Andy is very against self-harm, and they have helped a lot of people with their music and their personalities in general. The boy in the knives and pens video is supposed to represent Andy and how he got bullied as a kid, so I don't know why you insulted that. Do your research before you come on here making bs comments.

Also, yes, Andy is really gorgeous and a lot of girls or guys find him hot, including me. That isn't the only reason people listen to the band. You wouldn't listen to music by someone just because you thought they were hot, because you can't exactly see them when you're listening to their music, can you? I, along with most people in the BVB army, am not a shallow little **** and I don't like Andy just for his looks, he is a very inspirational person and he, along with the other band members, have sent a really positive, helpful message that has inspired a lot of people to stay alive and save themselves. Andy is a lot more than just his looks, which you would know if you bothered to find out who the band actually were.

Basically, people like you need to stop constantly insulting the band for no reason, because in the end, they're the ones who are famous and you're the ones sitting at home with nothing better to do but hate on people who've done nothing wrong. If you don't enjoy a band, then that's fine, because not everyone will, but publically shitting on them for no reason is ******* stupid. You clearly know nothing about the band, and all of your 'reasons' for hating them are not well thought out and make no sense. Maybe instead of wasting your life online hating on bands you should go out and actually do something useful, because the BVB army doesn't give a **** about people like you.

i love black veil brides and i may be 'emo' but im not decked out emo. Also im not a 'Fangirl'.

i dont listen to them because i enjoy their lyrics, or im depressed or i think andy is fit. Bvb is not emo actually so next time do your research first. Knifes and pens is ONE video. Just because they dressed in black and the boy looked emo doesnt mean they are and give you no reason to bloody hate on them. Not all emo's self harm, because i know people who are emo and dont and im one of them. Also no music is 'just for emo's or people who self harm' anyone can listen to them. Also if you dont like a music band 1. dont listen to it 2. dont make comments about it 3. why do you give a **** about it?

I am a bvb fan.

1) I'm not emo, or scene.

2) Andy is friends with Nikki Sixx who was fine with Andy using the name for a while.

3) We're retarded if we write a mean response? You just can't accept other people's opinions.

4) BVB aren't emo. Yes, in their early days they portrayed emo traits but listen to In The End. --Not emo.

5)I'm pretty sure A7F got their ideas from somewhere, as bvb did theirs. Bands rip off eachother all the time.

First of all, I just wanted to say that I am a 12 year old girl who is NOT emo, or whatever title all of you people use to judge others. You said that BVB was for 13-17 year old scene/emo kids who think their lives are so hard and are trying to escape their problems by listening to this band. Obviously they are not. Also, you said that BVB ripped of Avenged Sevenfold and Motley Crue and that most fangirls haven t even heard of those bands or like them. I am a huge fan of Avenged Sevenfold and Motley Crue and this really offends me. I also cannot even begin to fathom why you would be so SEXIST towards girls by saying that we are the stupidest of all because we only like BVB because of Andy BIERSACK, not Andy SIXX. I like BVB , its not because of how Andy looks , its their music and their message given to fans . I understand you don't like them but don't judge them because of their appearance or their music . Another thing is not only kids listen to them but grown ups too . So in my opinion i think overall bvb are not quite bad , if you look at their lyrics or listen to one of their songs , its not about emo people injuring themselves its about getting through hard life such as dealing with bullying etc. Finally you don't have to be emo to listen to this band , you can just be yourself .

The kid in knives and pens is suppose to represent Andy when he was younger because he was bullied. And you can t say that 30 year olds don t listen to them because my friends parents listen to bvb, my mom listens to them and so do my grandparents and my family are big fans of KISS and Avenged Sevenfold. You may hate bvb but that s just because you don t understand. And those people who you ve said bvb made their songs for... "Their lyrics are made only for the people that had a "tough" life (such as emos and people who self injure themselves)" well guess what. Some of those kids are dead now because people in school and at home have pushed them to do self harm. I'm 32 and I actually kind of like BVB. I mean, they're not my favorite band, or anything, and I didn't really care for their earlier Metalcore style ( Trivium and Motionless In White are much better), but I actually like their newer Glam Metal style; mostly because I grew up on Hair Metal, though. Yes, they were obviously inspired by KISS and Motley Crue (though Andy's voice reminds me more of Tom Keifer of Cinderella), but no one else is really doing that right now, so I'm just glad that someone's trying to bring that back because I missed it.

As a huge fan of A7x, I do see where you're coming from with the similarities in riffs. I've noticed that too, especially "Knives And Pens"/"Unholy Confessions". But Guitar World once asked Brian and Zack how they felt about certain newer bands coming up who have been compared a lot to them in terms of guitar style and they just seemed flattered by the idea that someone could be inspired by them (after all, they took a lot of obvious inspiration from Metallica and, according to people on YouTube, borrowed some of their riffs as well. Lots of bands do that as a way to give a nod to bands who influenced them. It's nothing new), so if they don't have a problem with it, neither do I.

Anyway, being 32, I know nothing about the whole "Emo" scene and have no idea why the hell that it's called "Emo" when it has absolutely nothing to do with Emo. That whole sub-culture always confused me (we had Goths in my day). But, anyway, I don't think that "Emo"s are the only ones who can benefit from music like BVB's. Some people really do have tough lives, you know? High School can be hell for anyone who's "different", whether "Emo" or Gay or too fat or too thin or too short or too tall or have funny names, or whatever. Kids stop at nothing to put each other down to build themselves up, so it's rough for the ones who end up on the bottom of the food chain (trust me, I know from personal experience and I got through it by listening to Marilyn Manson). Others could've grown up victims of abuse, neglect, molestation, broken homes (either by divorce or death), etc. You don't know what people have gone through, so you can't be so quick to judge and just accuse them all of just being whiny "Emo"s. Some people have real problems and if music can help them deal with everything, then how is that a bad thing? After all, music is cheaper than therapy and safer than drugs.

Honestly, yes we all have our opinions. But you shouldn't go around throwing people under the bus and judging them unless you know the whole truth. SEVRAL times Andy has stated that bands like 'kiss' and 'a7x' are big inspirations too them. That they aren't trying to steal the style but that they are inspired by them. And don't go around saying adults don't listen to them. My aunt who is 35 listens to black veil brides. Yes I know a lot of people like them just for the looks, but not everyone is like that. Myself being one of the people who actually likes they're music. They sing for people who are going through tough times and they're music is a sense of relief for people.
