Why do people hate New Guns and Chinese Democracy?

Why do people say it's not Guns n Roses when Slash agreed to Axl keeping the name?

Why do people bring up album sales on Chinese Democracy when it has sold 5 Million worldwide....more than both Velvet Revolver albums combined?

Why do people say that New GNR music sucks when even the first single is better than anything VR has done, not to mention the rest of the album.

Why do people say that Axl lost his voice when its actually improved and he can hit 4 octaves now and has given the best perfomance of Nightrain and Knocking on Heavens Door on the Rock AM Ring show in 2006?

I love Slash and old GNR but the hate for Axl is unjustified and has no place in the world in other than 12 year olds minds. I saw GnR in 1992, as well as 2006. I also saw Velvet Revolver 07, the best shows go like this Old GnR>>>NewGNR>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Velvet Revolver.

So please tell me, why the hate?

i guess people are just hating cause GNR slightly changed thier style of music..i mean obviously they cant make a new CD in complete 1980's style if we are not in that time ere anymore.

Because it's NOT Guns N' Roses. It's the Axl Rose band. Is it the same name, yeah, but it just isn't GNR. Take War for example, they split up and one member started another band that played War's old songs and he got the rights to the name. ALL of the other members also started another group and are known as the Low Rider Tribute Band. In my opinion, LRTB is the real War even if they don't have the name.



Chinese Democracy was overhyped, plain and simple. Chinese Democracy,only sold 2.6 million copies worldwide according to Nielsen SoundScan. VR's album Contraband, however, has reportedly sold 2.9 million copies in the US alone, and over 4 million copies worldwide. Contraband debuted on the Billboard Charts at #1, Chinese Democracy debuted at #3.

The new Guns 'n Roses sounds nothing like the old one to start with...



That's because the only member of Guns 'n Roses left is Axl Rose and their guitar sound is now totally different than it was with Slash. Just because they have the same name doesn't mean they are the same band because a band is defined by it's sound, not its members.



Actually, Better was one of the songs I was thinking of when I wrote that...



Sales... The hype for this album was so built up that everyone HAD to go buy it to hear it for themselves. 17 years was it? It would have to be good. So everyone had to go judge for themselves.



Why do people keep saying that the new music sucks? Because it does... They were known for their edgy sound that they came out with in Appetite For Destruction... That's not here. Why is that? Because it's just not the same band anymore. Comparing them to Velvet Revolver... Please don't. The new Guns 'N Roses is a totally different sound than VR.

VR leans more towards the original GNR which is why

I say that VR is better than the new GNR. You say that every song on Chinese Democracy is better than VR... That's your opinion and has no place here, just as mine above (VR is better than new GNR) has no place here. You say you like Old GNR better... then you should like VR more than new GNR as Velvet Revolver sounds closer to old GNR than new GNR does.



I'm not gonna argue the voice thing... maybe he got better, maybe he didn't. I don't really know, and I don't care.



Finally, you say the hate for Axl is unjustified. Do you not realize where that hate comes from?! It's not just the letdown of Chinese Democracy. It's his huge ego that people have grown to hate. I think he is the twelve-year-old mind here. As for you, you just seem like an angry fanboy who doesn't want to admit that things have changed.



Edit: I am aware that Slash wasn't originally part of GNR... I know that. I never said you can't accept that things have changed... I said that you don't want to say that they have. Meaning that you are too immature to admit that their music is now totally different from what they used to make.

When I first began studying that, I inspiration I used to be studying a G N' R rant. But you do have a few well features. Some humans would possibly not even deliver Chinese Democracy a danger considering that they are not able to see beyond the truth that Axl Rose is the one gunner left after 15 years. That is what annoys me. Don't knock it till you've got attempted it. That's what I say. Axl's voice is what makes G N' R. As lengthy as he is there, it is nonetheless G N' R.

The new GnR vibe & sound is quite different from the old GnR era with slash around which was also the time most of fans got involved listening to them. Guess the majority of the fans just cannot really adapt to their new sound.

it isnt hate so much as it is people realizing that it really isnt guns n roses anymore. its just axl, and its pretty much impossible to keep the same sound they had back when slash was still in the band.

They aren't technically GnR anymore. It's Axel with a whole new line up and he just kept the name. It just isn't the same.
