R.I.P. You Crazy Man! Thanks for all the rolls, and the laughs, and the debauchery!

It was best Keith associated noise I could think of!

BQ:No that honor goes to A Quick One(While He's Away),you and all Wholigans know my reasons why!

BQ2:He would've been in and out of rehab a few times, let's put it this way:They would've kept Keith's room at any rehab center ready for him and put a revolving door in it to boot!

Good old Moon. I saw The Who live twice. Once at the Ricky Tick club in Windsor in 1965 and a few years later at Mother's club in Birmingham. Townshend announced coolly that they were going to do Tommy. What? I thought - do Tommy live ? That's impossible. It's a concept album man. But they launched into it and would have got through it if Moon hadn't collapsed. He did not collapse as a mere mortal. He went right over his drum kit without knocking anything over and landed in a heap. They went off for about 20 minutes, came back and carried on where they had left off. So are so right about him being a 'lead' drummer. But under the flamboyant tom-toms and cymbals, there was powerhouse solid rhythm too. Fvck knows how he did it. Edit : thinking about that. He never had to. Townshend and Entwhistle were the timekeepers of the band, keeping it tight while allowing Moon his freedom. Thinking about some jazz classes I attended where a great revelation was that the bass not the drums keeps the tempo. As Danny Richmond said : everyone knows where one two three and four are, so why should I play them - a sentiment Moon would have agreed with.

The Who might as well be the world's most talented band

MA : My oh my , Keith looks the most sober dude up there !

BA : Hmm... could be

How about Won't Get Fooled Again ? I know it's really overplayed but that doesn't make it less fcking amazing

BA2 : He'd probably isolate himself from the world and blow up his neighbors toilets

Occasionally , he'd make a surprise appearance for the world to see

Think any band that isn't a grunge or punk one sucks ,Krass ?

It isn't that you need to like them , but at least have the decency to acknowledge that every member was great at their instruments

Hey Kel , Pete Townshend played guitar on a track on David Bowie's Heathen

don't worry Kelly, Krass hates the Who because he hates me and I love the Who. He'll get it worked out in therapy or something

MQ: two way race between Pete and Keith

BQ: hm....highly disagree. i think that award goes directly to Doctor Jimmy

BQ2: he'd probably end up like Syd Barret, he was a really troubled man yknow.

R.I.P. and long live what was once the World's finest rock and roll band

I'm listening to their greatest song by my opinion now.

Won't get Fooled again.

if Keith Moon was still alive, I bet he'd still be touring with Pete and Roger.

None of them look REAL drunk - Moon looks slightly crazy though...

Nowadays, Keith might be working on his memoirs, reminiscing over his misspent youth, as a warning to other young people.

I heard a story that Hank Williams Jr was so wasted one time that he passed out and did a face-plant right in the middle of a song.

Has it really been 32 years? Thanks for the link - that really takes me back.

BQ: I don't know if it's their greatest or not, but it sure is one hell of a song, But I still love Boris The Spider, for some odd reason, which I don't know.

BQ: Banding and blowing up drums

Happy birthday Keith from Steppenwolf and all the rest of us here in Canada...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Njh19Gu7Wo

A moment of noise!! Absolutely. That's exactly what Keith would have wanted.

MA: Now it's most obviously The Ox - Didn't you see him dancing all over the place and partying with the microphone?? Come on... lol.

BA: It's one of them but they have so many songs I like that I have a hard time sticking with a favorite - it changes. I love See Me Feel Me, Love Reign O'er Me, 515, Behind Blue Eyes, and so many others.

BA2: I think he'd still be blowing up hotel room bathrooms! I hope he'd be happy and still shaking things up for us. RIP Moonie.

For a moment of noise..............

We all know the answer to that one

I think its My Generation just because that is probably the one song most everybody recognizes as The Who

RIP Keith Moon !!!!

I'll be staying at a Hilton this weekend, where in honor of Keith's memory, I'll be sure to pitch my TV, the bellhop and a few pieces of furniture out of the window of my luxury suite.

Uhmn,.........whatttttttt?????? Could ya repeat the questions????????

I was remembering Keith my own way, and gulped a few horse traquilizers and washed them down with a bottle of tequila..........

I wasn't making any noise for awhile there..........but still, I think Keith would be honored.

I was gonna dive into an empty swimming pool, as my remembrance........but that looked like it would REALLY hurt..........even with the horse tranquilizers.

still, tempting.................. but, uhhhhh., no, I passed.

maybe next time.

Bill Hicks (the guy in my avatar) mentions Keith Moon here -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gJOBE2DcOHM

.

MQ: twats

BQ:The Who Suck.

You were held back by your band Keith or you just sucked as well, one of the two.

BQ2: A line

.

Oh, and you were a murderer too, you ****.

.

I just really don't like the Who and it's like 1 question every 30 minutes in R&P at the minute =]

.

Far from it, Grunge and Punk just happen to be my favourites. I just don't like The Who, or any form of Mod culture for that matter.

.

without The Who there would be no punk.....

interesting.

And no I don't think Cobain is God, that title is held by Bill Hicks, so shh.
