He does possess quite a range, but that's only with falsetto. His voice is whiny and his high notes are accomplished by using his falsetto voice. He's overrated, I think. And his vibratos are overdone and annoying at times. His high pitched singing annoys the crap out of me. Especially live, he sings the song like total crap. Not only is he a whiny song rev but he can't even sing. Please tell me why he's considered a good singer. I mean, I can hit all those high notes too using my falsetto voice and so can many others. At the end of Victim Of Changes it just annoys the crap outta me. It's so pretentious and his vibrato sucks, it sounds forced.

He sounded pretty good to me when I saw Judas Priest 3 times in the 70's. After 35 years you can imagine what that does to your vocal cords.

When you can do better you let us know, okay?

Here is an article, professional voice teacher judge Bruce Dickinson, Ronnie James Dio, King Diamond,

Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Halford singing. She rates Rob highest and Ozzy lowest (obvious).

I'm afraid I can't help - I've never thought he could sing!
