I pulled this old single (it's actually live, which you never hear in single format anymore) off the web, and it's a great song. I guess I was too young to appreciate it in the 80s. Anyone agree?

I've loved Mr. Browne since I was a youngun. Oh, those soulful brown eyes.........Sorry, sometimes you just can't help yourself.

Anyways, YES. Great song and IMO a classic. Other great songs:

Doctor My Eyes (IMO another forgotten classic)

Rock Me On the Water

The Pretender

Take It Easy

These Days

Stay (a great live & fun song)

Good question. Thanks for breathing life into Y!A's dullness.

I really like your ID name! It's cool and original!

Yes, Jackson Browne was extremely popular during my time (I'm ancient...). His songs were played all the time everywhere and he was considered one of the best rock influences then. The song "Running On Empty" also gained a lot more notoriety when it was featured in the movie "Forrest Gump". I admit I didn't like all of Browne's songs, but most of them were definitely impressive. So... overall, I would say that the song is definitely an underrated classic.

Jackson Browne was an underrated artist. Very good singer songwriter, at least until he got hooked by Daryl Hannah.

Lawyers in Love

Doctor My eyes

excellent question.

I tend to agree with Fonz...Jackson tends to get put on a shelf compared to some of his contemporaries like Tom Petty for example.

I think he probably deserves a bit more recognition.

I think Browne in *general* is pretty underrated. You Rarely hear his name mentioned. I like that song. But I almost fell outta my seat when I heard "For a Rocker" on the radio about a year ago. I'd totally forgotten about that song!

Oh most defiantly. The album itself is one of the greatest examples of rock around. The man and that particular album and song are severely underated pieces of art.

Yes, I think it's a classic, but underrated...? No. It was a huge hit and is still totally recognizable.

Sorry, I always thought he was overrated. Plus, he beats up women.
