Ok here's what you're looking for.
Two great sites loaded with legal bootlegs.
1. www.Sugarmegs.org scroll down to the pictures of the cassettes. Click on each and pages upon pages of bootlegs will appear. One set is in RealPlayer and the other in MediaPlayer. But note that each is not a duplicate of the other only in different format. Some shows are available in only one format. There is a ton of Grateful Dead stuff. It's all there and it's all FREE.
2. www.archive.org This is a great sire that is easily searchable and has even more shows from even more bands. There are thousands of shows. It is a really amazing site. And FREE.
Best wishes and have a grateful day,

I've had at one time or another a few dozen Kiss bootlegs (at least one from every tour), a hndful of Aerosmith shows, numerous Tyketto / Danny Vaughn gigs, five or six Blue Murder / John Sykes shows, and any number of odds and ends shows from 80s metal bands like Badlands or Faster Pussycat or Great White.
Over the years, I realized that I never listened to them, so I got rid of 90% of them.

There's a venue in my area, total Deadhead club, and they have a wall of bootlegs of every concert that has been played there. Thousands of them. Kind of strange seeing it out in the open like that...=0)
I have some Dead bootlegs, from a friend who used to follow them and make set lists for each show.
Deke!!!!

I don't collect them but I do know someone who has great bootleg copies of new movie releases and I see him now and again (he charges 5 bucks, not bad I figure)
I just realized you may have been referring solely to music, and I may have miscategorized my response

I have lots of Nirvana CD bootlegs from my teenage years. I also have a few 80's rock CD bootlegs - just a few though. My collection consists of 98% original CD's and 2% boots and CD-R's. Aside from concert CD bootlegs, I don't like studio album bootlegs - you lose quality with them and the original is best to have. If the album has been OFFICIALLY reissued and remastered, once in a while the reissue can sound better than the original and you get bonus artwork/inserts.

I've got a few on vinyl and a few CD boots.
On vinyl..
LZ- White Mountainside\Black Mountainside (I think)
I can't recall the names of the others. One was recorded in Japan and the other in Denmark. Plant had to encourage the audience to get wild and scream. Instead the clapped politely after every song.
Pink Floyd- Live at Ivor Wynn Stadium in Hamilton (on clear vinyl!). Post DSOTM and possibly pre-Animals because they got most of the titles to the Animals track wrong.
Also a PF boot from CNE stadium when they "re-formed' back in 86-87.
And a brilliant Neil Young boot from some bar in California, again I don't recall the name, but a great bootleg recorded just prior to Rust never Sleeps.
...I've also got a handful of bootleg CD's that aren't quite as cool as the vinyl.

There's a CD show the second Saturday of every month near me and they always have a ton of bootleg stuff. I've managed to get my hands on a lot of shows (15 Rush, 20 Springsteen, 10+AC/DC, Bruce Dickinson singing for Priest, several others).
It amazes me that bands don't release more live albums considering that fans really want this stuff. Even though some people complain that it's merely a "cash grab," I believe that there are some bands you just can't have enough live recordings of. Pearl Jam had the right idea with putting out all their live shows commercially.
