I lean more toward Jazz so while i know most people are going to say John Bonham i think that someone like Billy Cobham(or Tony Williams) could have EASILY filled his shoes in Led Zeppelin(or any other Rock band's drummer you'd want to mention) ....

But probably my all time favorite drummer would be Steve Gadd because he's played on so many different kinds of records(Jazz,Rock,Pop..etc).

Ask weapons N' Roses. Wait, it somewhat is not their call anymore. they must be pronounced as Axl Rose and another people offended Axl employed on a Whim. What the heck have been they questioning!? additionally, ask Alice in Chains. they ought to in no way have replaced Layne's trademark, unique, irreplaceable voice. Their new singer, William DuVall, has no emotion; he's in user-friendly terms a vulnerable imitation. i assume we can think of of it this way: bands are like a set of buddies, in basic terms widely used buddies who are not prominent or globally celebrated. whilst one pal leaves the gang, the full group in basic terms transformations, and in the event that they attempt to interchange the pal, nicely, it somewhat is impossible, simply by fact people won't be able to easily be replaced. I in no way understood that approximately Sammy Hagar, the two. He has an excellent voice (appropriate now, I downloaded "maximum suitable now" from one in each and every of historic previous's worst albums, For unlawful Carnal understanding) and Van Halen had a load of untested ability that in basic terms have been given wasted simply by fact of ways ineffective they grew to become after David Lee Roth left. they had the flair to alter into between the excellent rock bands of all time; they had the flair to be resembling the urge for foodstuff For Destruction lineup of weapons N' Roses! rather, they only wasted all of that pent-up expertise. So i do no longer understand why bands make the blunders of adjusting the irreplaceable contributors of their bands. I in basic terms in no way understood why they might replace them whilst they exceptionally a lot built the band into who they have been. weapons N' Roses died with out Izzy Stradlin's stable rhythm guitars, Duff McKagan's useful bass enjoying, decrease's ripping solos, and Steve Adler's insane drum pounding. I in basic terms in no way understood it, the two.
