"Better", as in quality? Both manufacturers make solid gear when you're talking about pieces in the same price range. The only thing that you should base your choice on is which one SOUNDS better to you, and which one has the features you need. Those are both subjective - I.E., you're the only one that can really make that choice. I can't say "go with brand X" just because I prefer the sound - you may have different taste than I do.

Comes down to which keyboard gives you more of what you want. My own personal choice is either a Yamaha MotifXS8 or a Kurzweil PC3X. You have to know what you want and then shop for what gets the closest to what you want inside your budget.

I bought a Korg Triton, and honestly, I regret it. It has tons of incredibly interesting sounds, but the basic tones - the ones you'd expect in a general MIDI bank - either aren't there, or they suck. So, in my band, I'm like "Hey, you guys want some crazy, sweeping sounds like a thousand floutists in the middle of a whirlwind playing different notes through some kind of electromagnetic distortion?" and they're like "Um, no. How about piano?" And I'm like "Well, okay, I have that, but it sounds like crap."
