Question:
any good ROCK bands?
2007-08-10 10:08:27 UTC
k well i posted a question like this earlier, and i got a few good bands that i liked but i want some more. alot of the bands mentioned were 'screamo'...which i don't really like. i like rock music, such as the used, breaking benjamin, three days grace, the almost, disturbed, and things of that nature. just basically the kind of stuff you can sing along too and understand the words, but its stilll rock. so anyone have any good bands? i'd prefer bands that aren't really mainstream, and it'd be helpful if you'd give me a good song along with the band name. thanks!

Buckcherry (the crazy b*tch song is still hilarious)

Lacuna Coil

Dark New Day

Eighteen Visions

Puddle of Mudd

Seether

Stone Sour

Obviously stuff like Maiden goes without saying.

You should really check out Muse if you haven't already. Probably my favourite band at the moment.

One band you might want to check out is Three Inches of Blood. Very Maiden-esque. Very fast, loud, and lyrically very 80's metal.

Check out a group called "Stella Noir". They have a page on mYspace, and they just moved to the seattle area. I wouldn't clasify them in the same leage as disturbed, but they are certainly different. I hate to play favorites but my little brother plays guitar for them.

Here are a few of my favorite bands;;

Panic! At The Disco- any of their songs really. Some language, but not too much. Easy to understand lyrics. Unless you mean understanding what they mean.

--------------------------------------------------------

The Academy Is...-We've Got A Big Mess On Our Hands

Good band. Nice singer. Not too mainstream. Yet. A little hard to understand.

----------------------------------------------------------

Cobra Starship-The Church Of Hot Addiction

Good band. Also not mainstream yet. Easy to understand and sing along too. A few words, but that's pretty much it.

--------------------------------------------------------

Fall Out Boy-probably one of their earlier songs. maybe Saturday, Dead On Arrival, or Grand Theft Autum/Where Is Your Boy?.

Really mainstream right now, but it'll die down sooner or later. Sorta hard to understand. Okay, really hard to understand. But not the live versions of the songs.

-----------------------------------------------------

Paramore-Misery Buisness.

Good band. Not too mainstream yet either.

---------------------------------------------------------

That's pretty much it....so yeah.

Evanescence and Paramore, they have deep understandable lyrics, not like the crap people write and sing really fast so it sounds good, but because lyrics are no good at all

coheed and cambria. against me. my chemical romance ( some people love, some hate). nine inch nails. muse. bloc party. the strokes. sublime. the killers.

on a different beat, softer....

kings of leon, the arcade fire.

My Chemical Romance (the second and third albums are the easiest to sing along too)

Dashboard Confesional (amazing voice, easy to sing along too, hard to hit the notes this guy gets too)

The format (its such catchy music, i think of it as music you blast when your driving)
