Question:
Brand New vs. Taking Back Sunday?

John Nolan of Taking Back Sunday slept with the lead singer of Brand New's (Jesse Lacey) longtime girlfriend, even though the two had been friends since high school and were at the time in the same band (TBS).
When Jesse formed the band Brand New The song Seventy Times 7 was written in response to Jesse discovering Johns secret.
Lyrics can be found here: http://artists.letssingit.com/brand-new-lyrics-seventy-times-7-cw1677t

In response to the Brand New song, Taking Back Sunday came out with There's No 'I' In Team. http://artists.letssingit.com/taking-back-sunday-lyrics-theres-no-i-in-team-rwcw6r9

The lyrics..
"Is this what you call tact?
I swear you're as subtle as a brick in the small of my back
so let's end this call, and end this conversation" were used in both songs.

Whose song do you think wins? Lyric wise?
Here are the links to some clips.

I couldn't find the actual film clip (if there even is one?) to either song, but these will do:

Brand New's Seventy Times 7 is the epitome of angry songs. It's FANTASTIC. It says F You in the best way possible.

Did you ever see the battling band merch as well? It was crazy I saw both of these bands when this was happening... Brand New had a shirt that said "Mics are for singing not swinging" and Taking Back Sunday came back with "Proudly swinging since 1999..." That was i think my favorite part... but I did have the bag that was the Brand New shot at Taking Back Sunday so I think that shows where I stand. Its so crazy to see people who still remember this.

Brand New is definitely better lyric wise and just as an overall band.

I do enjoy some of Taking Back Sunday's music, but you can't really compare them to Brand New.

Want to know how to get your ex back? Change yourself. Don't worry about changing other people, worry about changing yourself. Go to https://tr.im/6Rtoy

Once you do that then you can start to worry about getting back together with your ex, other wise you will find that you are fighting about all the same things and getting no where. Do what it takes and I promise things will work out in your favor.

The funny thing is I came to the realization that I had to change a little too late. After I was kicked out and after I was about to lose the only things that truly mattered to me - her love. A funny thing happens when we truly love someone and lose them. We do what ever it takes to get them back. For me I had to drop bad habits that had caused not only our relationship to sour but practically every other relationship I had had in the past. Not only with women, but with friends, co-workers, family, you name it.

Which is why I say to you as my ex at the time said to me, the only thing you can do is change yourself. Work on yourself and improve on the person that you already are. Drop the negative things in your life that don't belong there and you will see all of your relationships start to take off to new heights.

"seventy times seven" is much better, though i really, really don't give a f*ck about who slept with who or any of that.
