while many here are likely familiar already, this is the first time I have given Italy's Stormlord a close look, and their Mare Nostrum album is amazing beyond words, so here are a few peeks for those new to them, and those who love the possibilities of the epicness of Power Metal meeting the raw brutality of Black Metal.......

Holy goat nipples batman ! This is amazing , i love it, and I am very picky when it comes to black metal.The instruments compliment themselves, the guitars, the keyboards , the vocals, the drumming, the atmosphere is outstanding. I really like the vocal operatic feel , interesting. I am going to have to check into these guys, definitely worth buying. I'd just like to say that I only listened to one song "Mare Nostrum" that sold me, continuing to listen. Thanks for sharing KP, = ).

They definitely combine the epic sounds with extreme metal quite well... i am familiar with Stormlord but only At the Gates of Utopia and Supreme Art of War...so these are new to me



MA: From intial listens, this is solid....maybe be even better than those older albums, which i do like quite alot. I do think the "epic" sound is more prevalent on this album than the others, but it is mixed quite well.

For recommendation I'd recommened Elffor, I don't know if they can be considered extreme metal, but it's very epic anyway.
