Question:
R&P: Do you think there is one song that we can all agree to liking?
.........
2009-02-16 17:40:36 UTC
Do you think that all the regulars here could, in fact, agree on one song, and that nobody would be opposed to it?

I nominate "Comfortably Numb"...I don't think I've ever met another person who doesn't dig that song...

Do you agree with my choice?

Also, do you have any nominations of your own?

I don't reckon i count as a regular, but i definitely agree. Also in agreement with the rick rolling... lol =]

Comfortably numb is an incredible song, i would be surprised if you found someone who didn't like it!

Wow, i haven't been back on here in a month. A MONTH!! I feel so bad, i missed you guys... =/

Hope you had a great January, sorry i wasn't there!

I'm not sure whether I'm considered a regular, but I ask a question every day or two, and do my best to answer a few questions afterwards. And I'd definitely agree with that choice, here are a few others:

Three Little Birds - Bob Marley

Hello Goodbye - The Beatles

La Bamba - Ritchie Valens

I could come up with many more, but I think the real challenge would be finding a song that's considerably lengthy that is a unanimously enjoyed tune. I'd say Stairway to Heaven but that's been called pretentious by some people... perhaps 2112?

I agree!

I nominate Hey Jude and Stairway to Heaven. Even people I know who really don't care for Led Zeppelin / Beatles love these songs.

nah, by the time pink floyd did the wall they were overly impressed with the harmonic overtones of their own flatulence. they lost a lot after wish you were here.

casey jones by the dead would be a good choice, but i doubt there is a song everyone can agree to.

I like "Comfortably Numb" but my brother doesn't. He's a huge Floyd fan just like you and I but he says "some parts are just...stupid......"my hands felt just like two balloons"?...that's just plain dumb"

I'd like to nominate "Moonage Daydream" by David Bowie.

That's a pretty good one, I like it, but I know a lot of people who aren't crazy about Pink Floyd. Screw them, right?

You're going to want to look for something with wide appeal; I'm nominating the following songs:

"Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin

"Born to Run" by Bruce Springsteen

"Hey Jude" by the Beatles

"Like a Rolling Stone" by Bob Dylan (a bit daring there, I think)

"99 Luftballons" by Nena (okay, a weird departure, but I have a feeling about this one...probably a bad one...)

I like the song, but I don't think there are any that are universally liked.

Also second Boston's "More Than a Feeling"
