Your thinking Slayer, Dream theater, Chimaira, Down, Mastodon and the like?

Heavy metal with complex riffs (well, maybe not slayer, thats just loud..)

For the record, not my type of music, but my friends listen to this stuff all the time, I've become quite the expert.

Over 21? wtf? I'm 43 & had front row to Disturbed and I listen to Slipknot, Mushroomhead, Avenged Sevenfold and More! Geez I have friends approaching 50 who listen to even harder stuff that is very current but since some kid thinks they can't appreciate metal's history then I will certainly not Improve their future

->Cradle Of Filth

that's all I can think of right now, as I'm so tired I'm falling asleep, hope everyone comes back and continues to answer your question!

---EDIT----

Decrepit Birth - ... And Time Begins.

Tried it. It's awful, sorry, mate. It sounds like a warped mixture of Cradle of Filth, Slipknot and From First To Last.

A lot of my friends have told me to reccomend From First To Last to people, but I don't really like them much. Your choice.
