When the Beatles entered the music scene rock music was simple and easy to dance to, by the time they left it was an art form that was no longer consisting of just playing fast paced guitar songs but could include any number of instruments and follow any number of styles. They wore their hair long before it was socially acceptable to do. They were one of the first major bands to spend a lot of time in the studio to make sure their albums sounded as good as possible and so innovation in the studio could influence the sound of the records. They embraced all sorts of music from reggae to blues to country to pop to hard rock to psychedelic to avant guard. And above all they wrote songs that almost anyone could easily relate to and get the message of.
I never said they were the first men to have long hair I said they wore their hair long before it was socially acceptable which is true. It inspired a trend in the United States for guys to have longer hair.
Hope that helps

The Beatles, as a pop culture phenomenon, are still the benchmark for all pop group sensations. The recording industry constantly strives to create that combination of marketability and creativity which existed in those four young people. For this reason, the quest for a new Beatlemania continues to affect the recording industry in an economic sense. The further effect of the movie "Hard Day's Night" on the concept of music videos is even more historical, paving the way for an entire MTV generation.

What most people don't realize about The Beatles is that when they came to America in 1964 they honestly did revolutionize the American popular music of that time. There is entirely too much information to share but to make a long story short they accomplished so much in just 6 years as a working band.
I highly recommend looking at this:
And think about this... would there really be an entire master's program at a university if The Beatles didn't have some significant impact on society?
honestly! look here:

Are you even asking this? Have you heard anything by them, I mean seriously?
They started out by making songs that appealed to everyone and built up their audience in their early years, they kept their appearance clean cut and everything.
Later, they started saying more of what they wanted and dressing how they wanted, and changing everything about themselves. Their songs are amazing, and catchy, and just pure genius.
If people don't appreciate THE BEATLES, one of the best bands of all time, (if not THE best) then what is the world going to come to in a few years?
Lady Gaga and Justin Beiber got you hypnotized do they?

Their harmonies were new to early rock and roll and their songs lead to early success, which lead to experiments with different instruments
piano - Let it Be
orchestra - Elanor Rigby
indian music
Their structure: lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass, and drums are still the main structure for a band today.

They changed the type of music that people listened to....they were bold with both lyrics and appearances. They were different and stood out from other bands at the time. They created countless albums with tons of popular songs

They were a legend to pop/rock music. I read in a book that they had over 50 hits. People loved their songs and they served as a great inspiration to other bands and performers in that era-voice talent and instrumental talent. They actually are a really good band; you can search on youtube and I'm sure you'll find a few of their songs that you like. Classic rock was the best era for music.

They created psychedelic music and first used the psychedelic logo, they captivated the entire word, they created the first heavy metal song (Helter Skelter), they created sounds in the studio that no one could reproduce until 2005 over 30 years later, they continue to influence music TODAY, and there's a ton more I can't really remember, but there are literally college courses about this.

They're not.
funny, their manager, brian Epstien had two other bands two years before he hired them that looked and sounded more like the Beatles than THE BEATLES.
Their names were Gerry&the pacemakers and Billy J kramer &the dakotas
*edit-and they are givin credit to be "the first" men in history to have long hair?
