Fu*k the R&RHoF

It hasn't been relevant since the 70s, if at all.

Where is John Kay & Steppenwolf?

Where are 100 other artists that should have been there for decades?

How about these people:

Carole King.

Duran Duran.

DIRE STRAITS !!!!!

Three Dog Night.

The Zombies.

And so many more.

I see. You thought it was more than something for people in Cincinnati to spend a few hours in. But it's not, you see. All of the Halls of Fame are fan centers and why not?

Moody Blues! Their core 7 is probably some of the best music ever recorded!

Also The Zombies's Oracle and Odyssey is a great album, that alone should put them in to the hall of fame.

Why isn't Jethro Tull on here, one the greatest bands of all time in my opinion.

Don't care too much for a lot of the rest, but see some other stuff I like, and see a lot of other bands not mentioned on the list.

Dire Straits (their induction is inevitable, and rightfully so)

Radiohead

Link Wray (should have been inducted long ago)

The Cars (they deserve it, maybe their time has come now)

Moody Blues (long overdue)

Judas Priest is too much of a "niche" act, they may never make it

Eurythmics are worthy. They probably need to wait a few more years though.

J. Geils probably isn't worthy of RRHOF but they may get in on sympathy this year.

Rock and Roll Tourist Traps: Graceland comes immediately to mind.

No opinion on Sister Rosetta Tharpe.

Depeche Mode, Dire Straits, Moody Blues, Judas Priest. No of course not the Hall had to wait all this time to do nominate her. Look at what they did to Deep Purple. They wait all this time and than say see we did not forget. Also just like the Hall itself almost all of the categories are meaningless. Only a few make sense and less so now because who has entered the last 10 years. The last good class that there where no head scratchers was 15 to 20 years ago. The hall still makes money thats why its there, a lot of its clientele are not necessarily into music. If they are its more for the history of whos in there than anything else. Its still standing because the money keeps rolling in. As for the tourist trap the Grand Canyon and the Houston part of NASA both come to mind. But the Mutter Museum is nota bad choice either. There is so much better things to do in Philly than go there. The Hall still stands because of greed. Money is an extremely powerful motivational tool.

No, it's time to not give a f**k again.

I stopped giving a f**k back when they started adding disco ducks, folk hippies and rappers to the inductee list. And that was a long time ago.

LOL. That should sum it up but you did ask -. and -1. (-) since I don't pay much attention to this campaign of popularity, I did not know they had sub categories. Of course Sister R T should have been there. Probably on the premier occasion, IMO. (B) Can't input much as the world is much to big a place. I also would not be drawn into the lure to only be disgusted. Popularity has bogarted those joints long ago. My footnote to all this would be: The Three Big Skipped: IMO: Warren Zevon, Canned Heat, Steppenwolf. Also I know Cleveland, as I lived near by and attended many Concerts there in the 70's. It is a Great City that I would Call, a Great Rock and Roll Town. Don't let the HOF society tarnish that reality.

Annual time to whine that some mediocre band from forty years ago isn't in yet.

Just as they control the radio, baby boomers still make the picks and focus on crappy bands that influenced nobody.

I call for

Dick Dale

Nine Inch Nails

The Cure

Motorhead

Black Flag

How the **** Black Flag is not recognized, I have no idea.

I am sure it is. That being said, living in Ohio my whole life and never been to it. I like my list better, but I am the "eternal optimist, though more of a realistic optimist" now. I am sure they have Restaurants and stores that are expensive. But if I do settle down, I would love to go to the other 44 Continental and outside states at least once in my life.
