I only got one cd as a present, and that was Them Crooked Vultures self-titled. And soon I'm going out to get more, I think I'll get the following.

Screaming Trees - Sweet Oblivion

Pearl Jam - Vs.

Dinosaur Jr - Farm

Melvins - Houdini

BA: Your Living All Over Me

BA2 10, I got a drum set!

I didn't even get anything yesterday. I was waiting for some super deluxe version of an album by Julian Casablancas in the mail, but the order was delayed. I got the pre-Christmas gift of the first UK pressing of The Strokes' The Modern Age EP on vinyl, which is worth quite a lot, and a rare promo CD of The Elephant Song demo by The Strokes, both unopened and unplayed

BQ: Zen Arcade

BQ2: N/A
Cold Roses

Yes, I did. I got:

Kurt Vile - Constant Hitmaker

A.C. Newman - Get Guilty

Neko Case & Her Boyfriends - Furnace Room Lullaby

Big Star - Third-Sister Lovers

Silver Jews - Bright Flight

Yo La Tengo - Popular Songs

Dan Auerbach - Keep It Hid

BQ: Everything you got was great...and even though You're Living All Over Me is in my top 20, Double Nickels On The Dime is in my top 5. One of the greatest I've ever heard. Go see Mike Watt if you haven't already, the man is incredible.

Yup. There's a record store in my...general area (well, it's a music store). They sell a ton of old records, several of which are really obscure (and really cheap). I think the most expensive one, was, like, four dollars! I got the following:

Shadow Dancing by Andy Gibb (for my mother, she loves it)

Faster than the Speed of Night - Bonnie Tyler (guilty pleasure)

The Principle of Moments - Robert Plant (his post-Zeppelin stuff is all pretty artsy, and that's my kind of thing)

Missing Persons - Missing Persons (also for my mother)

Aja - Steely Dan (great record)

Nomadness - Strawbs (one of Rick Wakeman's prog bands)

and

Masque - Kansas (this is before "Carry On My Wayward Son")

I also got these off Amazon:

The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, Foxtrot, Wind and Wuthering, A Trick of the Tail, Nursery Cryme, and Trespass by Genesis (my favorite band).

BQ: Saucerful of Secrets is my favorite Floyd album.

BQ2: I'd give it a 9. I got a ton of records, bought everybody stuff they loved, and A Christmas Story was playing non-stop on TBS. It was a good day.

Nope I actually didn't, unfortunately. Although I did buy myself a few CDs a couple of days before Christmas, does that count? lol

BQ: I have the first three and they're all brilliant, great choices. My favourite would probably be You're Living All Over Me but all three would on my list of all-time favourites.

BQ2: I'd give it a 7. It was enjoyable but not especially exciting. How was yours?

-------------------------------------

I got Isn't Anything - My Bloody Valentine, Hours - David Bowie, Let Love In - Nick Cave, 8 Mile Soundtrack and Hello Nasty - Beastie Boys.
