John Bonham... i agree, i didnt really have to think. I mean u automatically know its him when u hear the drums... its very unique - with his insane and almost impossible rythym patterns.

BQ: Kashmir, Dazed and Confused, Communication Breakdown, Heartbreaker, The Rover

BQ2: Working Man, Red barchetta, YYZ, The Big Money, Tom Sawyer

Peart by a long shot. Bonham isn't a bad drummer by any means, but even my massive Zep fan best friend admits that Bonham's drumlines sound the same in every Zeppelin song, give or take a few acoustic numbers and such (like Going to California or even Boogie with Stu). just watching Rush live you realize how amazingly proficient Peart is as a percussionist, he can play every style imaginable. Same with Bill Bruford, Billy Cobham, Tony Williams, George Hurley, D.J. Bonebrake.

BQ: No Quarter, How Many More Times, Down by the Seaside, Gallows Pole, In the Light, Hots on for Nowhere

BQ2: Working Man, 2112, Passage to Bangkok, New World Man, Cygnus X-1: Book II, YYZ, Red Sector A

As an accomplished musician and percussionist, Peart by miles and miles.

As a pure Rock Drummer, Bonham by a little bit.

Neil Pert is okay. Bonham replaced into fantastic, and he did double bass with basically one bass drum. He additionally stored great rhythm and replaced into average a great guy or woman. yet Keith Moon had form, replaced into unique, and rather of basically offering a beat that subsidized UP the band, like each drummers do, he provided a beat that emphasised the climate of the band. So Keith, genuinely.

Neil Pert, though they are both world class drummers, Neil Pert beats Bonham. Skillwise, his rhythms, and technicality.

I'll limit myself to one song each :]

Zep - Over the Hills and Far Away

Rush - Spirit of Radio

John Bonham (pbuh). But on what basis are we comparing them? They are not similar in many ways.

BQ: All of them are my favourites.

Since I've Been Loving You, Tea For One, Rain Song.

BQ2: Unsure on the name, but something to do with 'freedom of choice', 'free will', etc.
