Richard Wright, Pink Floyd keyboardist dead?

Richard Wright, one of the founding members of Pink Floyd has apparently died of cancer. I'm in shock... I didn't even know there was anything wrong with him. Did anyone else?

Sad hey we wont see another band like them ever again and goes to show we are all just another brick in the wall but some stick out more than others.

Well he didn't release any statements or things before stating his illness and even now the family are keeping pretty tight about it only giving the bare essential details, which I can understand.



Or it could be like Killer Kane of the New York Dolls. Find out your sick from leaukemia and die a few hours later from it. They did only say a short battle, which I take as a good thing really.

yes, i too only found out of the cancer today.

i knew about the death for a few hours,

it's very sad.



mom thinks i'm overreacting.

and my brother hates Pink Floyd.

Yeah I heard that today.Not that I was a Pink Floyd fan, but I did like Brick in the wall.I didn't know he had been ill.

I didn't know he was sick until I found out today. Guess his family wanted to keep it on the low down. I was listening to DSOTM and Wish You Were Here earlier and got really sad.

None of us knew... it was totally unexpected. So shocking. That's cancer for you, though... takes many at an untimely age.

I had no clue he was sick. I think that's what makes it all so tragic, it was sudden and Very unexpected. RIP Rick.
