A good band normally has 1 or 2 guitarists, for lead and rhythm guitar, a bass player, drummer, and singer. However, vocals can be sung by any band member. Also, keyboard can be included to add some sort of synth.

Also, any instruments can be used in a rock band. Jethro Tull used flutes, various bands use violins, organs can be used as well to get an almost orchestra sound.

Drums, guitar, bass guitar, vocals(yes they count as an instrument), piano, brass(trumpet, trombone, sax, etc.).

I know that brass instruments sound weird but listen to A Little Piece of Heaven by Avenged Sevenfold, the horns sound amazing. Piano is in many great rock bands.

Obviously it depends on what type of music you'll are planning on playing.

Generally a piano player isn't really necessary, but I would recommend a keyboard player (who will often be a piano player), since that can be useful for a large variety of genres.

get a bass. and some bands use keyboards or pianos. there's really no set rules. it's rock and roll. so just learn to play some instruments.

ahahahahaha!!

Guitar, bass & drums for a normal rock band. Some bands lately have been using keyboards, but that's a trend.

Unless you want to play let it be from the Beatles.

You NEED a bass. Definitely an electric bass.

Most bands have a guitarist, bassist, drummer, and lead singer. The lead singer's role can just apply strictly to singing, but he/she can also play an instrument. (Usually plays guitar, but isn't limited to just that. Also can play keyboards.)

And the optional keyboardist. Always good to have one. =]

You can use a normal controller with a headset to sing, but you'll need a guitar or drumkit to play the other instruments.

depends on what kind of music you want to play. most bands have 2 guitarists, a bassist and a drummer. but alot of the bands coming out nowadays have a keyboard player as well.

there is no such thing as a "normal band"

but to me, its a rock band that usually has about 4-5 members

lead guitar

rhythm guitar

bass

drums

vocals

Up to 3 guitars, even though 1 is sufficient, 2 is most popular

Electric Bass

Drums

Electric Keyboard (not piano)

Get a Suzuki Omnichord and you can eliminate all of the other band members. Do everything by yourself!
