not a specific album of his but the artist gary numan has done some really good music in more recent years.

though not exactly new wave the fixx album reach the beach to me is a mastepiece going well beyond the radio singles.

ministries first album was like goth nu wave and quite a surprise to many unfalimiar ministry fans.

Simple Minds -- "Life in a Day" (1979); & "Real to Real Cacophony" (1980)

( NOTE -- the reason why some of these bands do not have extra albums listed, like Simple Minds' "Empires & Dance" is because that album LOST it's New Wave "momentum" -- and thus "categorization" -- even though it's a great album.

Just my opine :)

Wire -- "154" (1979) --

( this one has always been argued as to if it is New Wave. I believe it is. The first 2 albums - "Pink Flag" & "Chairs Missing" were more Punk -- but, there is no other album, that resembles Wire's "154" and it appeared during the "Heart of the New Wave."

Others --

The Human League -- "Reproduction (1979); Travelogue (1980)

Magazine -- "Real Life" (1978); "Secondhand Daylight" (1979); & "The Correct Use of Soap" (1980)

Gruppo Sportivo -- "Mistakes" (1979)

Red Noise -- "Sound On Sound" (1979)

Punishment of Luxury -- "Laughing Academy" (1979)

Echo & The Bunnymen -- "Crocodiles" (1980)

The Talking Heads -- "77"; "More Songs About Buildings and Food * " (1978); "Fear of Music" (1979); & "Remain In Light" (1980)

Men Without Hats -- "Folk of the 80's" (1980) [not to be confused with "Part III"]

DEVO -- "Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo!" (1978)

Television -- "Marquee Moon" (1977)

Tubeway Army -- (debut) (1978); "Replicas" (1978)

XTC -- "White Music" (1978); "Go 2" (1978); "Drums & Wires" (1979); & "Black Sea" (1980)

The Cars -- "The Cars" (1978); "Candy-O" (1979) & "Panorama" (1980)

Pete Shelley (of Buzzcocks) -- "Sky Yen" (1980)" & "Hangahar" (1980)

Suicide - (debut) (1977)

B-52's -- (debut) (1979)

Lene Lovich -- "Stateless" (1978) & Flex (1979)

Nina Hagen -- "The Nina Hagen Band" (1978) & "Unbehagen" (1979)

The Boomtown Rats -- (debut) (1977) & "A Tonic for the Troops" (1978)

The Jam -- "In the City" (1977); "This Is the Modern World" (1977); & "All Mod Cons" (1979)

Ultravox -- "Ultravox!" (1977); "Ha! Ha! Ha!" (1977); & Systems of Romance (1978)

The Stranglers (NO, they are NOT Punk!!) --

-- "Rattus Norvegicus" (1977); "No More Heroes" (1977); "Black and White" (1978); "The Raven" (1979); & "The Gospel According to The Meninblack" (1981)

tired...

I'll get more, if you're really interested :)

Edit --

* While we're on this subject --

-- on The Heads' "More Songs...." -- I have always been confused why "Take me to the river" is on this album!!!

For those who have listened (and there should be Hundreds on this site) -- to this Album --

-- I'm sure you will agree, that this Track has NO PLACE on this magnificent, landmark album!!!

1. It does not fit-in with the structure

2. It is the least New Wavey effort by them

3. ... & unfortunately -- it is THE SONG, that this album is identified by, because of so much commercial airplay...

Please!!.... Someone Restrain Me!!!!!!! :)) lol
