What the hell happened to The Ramones?

Is like they disappeared into thin air over night.

Isn't that crazy? There's a melodeath band called Neuraxis who (while still alive) have NO founding members in the band.

Joey and Johnny died from cancer. Dee Dee died from a drug overdose. Tommy Ramone is the only surviving original member. Marky Ramone,Richie Ramone, and CJ Ramone are still alive.

@Birdy - Johnny Ramone was the Republican member of the band. He was noted for being one the few conservatives in the punk rock community.

They did seem to drop off in the space of just a few years... Joey in 2001, Dee Dee in 2002, and Johnny in 2004. Tommy's 61 but looking pretty good.



I can't find any reference to Tommy being a Republican, but Johnny was.

Yep, I think they died within a couple years of one another. There is one left and he is a Republican believe it or not
