And can you remember where you first heard this song?

The first song by Evanescence was "Missing", I first heard it on an AMV for 'Bleach' a few years ago. It's one of my favourites by Evanescence.

I first learned the words to 'Lithium' by Nirvana. I heard it about three years ago while trying to find the Evanescence song 'Lithum' (two different songs). It was actually the first Nirvana song I ever heard. I'd heard a lot about them and I was fascinated by the aesthetics of bi-polar disorder ('Lithium' seems to relate to it).

Vanna - "Dead Language For A Dying Lady"

I wanted to learn the lyrics because I was going to see them live and I knew at some parts of this song the singer jumps into the crowd and gives the mic to the crowd to have them sing,

I can't remember The Beatles, though it was probably Twist & Shout since Ferris Bueller's Day Off has been my favourite movie since I was like 7.

And my second favourite band, The Kinks, was probably Come Dancing. I listened to The Kinks before I listened to The Beatles.

Aaaand I guess The Monkees would be the next easiest to remember- It was probably Mary, Mary or I'm Not Your Stepping Stone

MQ:

2: Dancing On My Grave by Ghostland Observatory (I'm expanding my musical horizons a bit)

BQ: Yessir. Same Ol' place, some different people though.

He "murdered" one in each of my accepted Nirvana songs :[ yet i assume it became an 'unique' theory to apply that riff for that song :/ BA1: it relatively is been appropriate thankyou. i've got had approximately 14 Maths practice papers to do over the gap of two days, in time for my center a million examination and that i bypass back to college the following day. fortunate me. BA2: form of. I see if the question is something that i'd be able to respond to. If the question is obscure then I click on it to examine the define and spot if it helps any further. Then I see if every physique else has already spoke back the question properly or placed especially lots precisely what i became going to. if so then i do no longer complication answering. If no longer then I answer it - or greater attempt to - and desire that i do no longer make an entire fool of myself.

'Dreams' ~ Fleetwood Mac

I was probably in the car, as my first memory of the song is of sitting in the back of the car, singing along to it.

'The Witch's Promise' ~ Jethro Tull

I saw an old TV performance on an episode of TOTP2, whilst at my granny's house.

'Family Man' ~ Mike Oldfield

Probably heard it on the radio as a child, but when I was about 12 we went on holiday with my uncle, he had a 'best of' cassette playing in the car, and I borrowed it and played this song over and over {during the holiday, I also managed to find a shop with a CD copy of the album}.

NB: I wasn't sure the 'Master of Ceremonies' section on 'Tubular Bells (pt1)' counted as 'lyrics'...

'Claire in Heaven' ~ Capercaille

On the compelation album "Rough Guide to the Music of Scotland".

'Rooms on Fire' ~ Stevie Nicks

Bought a 'Rock' compelation cassette at a service station on the way back from a holiday {may have been the 'Mike Oldfield' holiday}, and this song was on it - first of her solo songs I ever heard.

I can't be sure of the 'firsts' for these 5, but these are the 'probables' :~

Led Zeppelin = 'The Battle of Evermore"

I had the album "The Remasters", and loved several songs at once, but especially this one.

Dire Straits = 'The Man's Too Strong"

My dad had "Brothers in Arms", and I played this song a lot.

Old Blind Dogs = 'The Cruel Sister'

From the second of their albums.

Sandy Denny = 'The False Bride' / 'You Never Wanted Me'

My uncle lent me his compelation "Legends of Folk Rock" album, and I really liked these two songs.

Blackmore's Night = 'Shadow of the Moon'

Title song to their debut album {I went through them chronologically}.

BQ: Yep, been here just over 3 years now - my 4th R&P Christmas!

I'm sure I was singing songs my parents listened to prior to this, but the first song I can remember singing was "Like a Virgin" by Madonna and I was 5. I even remember where I was and who I was with when I was singing it.
