Can the Van Halen's and Diamond Dave survive a 25 date tour, or will the band once again implode?

So many attempts at reuninting with Dave ended in disaster over the past decade, so it's easy to imagine this thing imploding. That said, they have never gotten this far. Once tickets go on sale calling off gigs becomes very costly. Dave's been out of the spotlight long enough that he knows to not cross the line with Ed. I can't imagine they'll see each other much offstage, but I predict they'll finish the tour and probably add more dates. Ed has no choice. Their attempt at a Sammy reunion didn't go well and their attempt at hiring a third singer meant playing to half empty arenas. It's Dave or nothing. They'll suck it up and get this tour done.

They can certainly survive a tour - for the money. Clearly though, the fans are not going to witness the band at their peak! Eddie is the only one who is actually of above average talent. Their songs are great (at least up until early 90's,) but really Dave cannot (or will not) sing properly (how annoying how he just raps the odd word and barely carries a tune), Alex is an ok drummer. Any tour they do will sell out stadiums on their 80's reputation alone. 40 somethings got lotsa cash to spend! Interested to see Wolfie in action. Interesting and kinda sad too..

If a David Lee Roth /Sammy Hagar tour could happen, so can a Van Halen tour. May be what David & Eddie really need now, after all the bad times they've had.

leap Panama warm For instructor David Lee Roth all the way - while he left, it particularly became Sammy Hagar doing lead vocals with Van Halen as his lower back-up singers - he grew to become into not a compliment to something of the band, he overpowered them.

Even if they can survive, many, many fans are quite upset about all that's gone down, and that they've edited Michael Anthony out of their album covers on their official website and replaced him with Wolfgang... Those albums were made before the boy was even born!

Wow, I don't know. With all that ego going, I must admit I'll be suprised if they make it. I just hope they make it to the place by me before they implode.
