2010-04-02 18:39:04 UTC
Hey guys it's been a while since I asked a question but I was just wondering what your favorite songs and albums are by The Grateful Dead. :)
Links would be lovely, by the way.

And for some BQs...
BQ: Last album you bought?
BQ2: What did you have for dinner?
BQ3: Song of the day?
BQ4: Favorite TGD member?

Okay, that is all.

The last album I bought was Beck's Mellow Gold.

I ate delicious chicken quesidillas.

My song of the day is "Too Young" by Taken by Trees.

And to be honest, I don't know any of the Grateful Dead members. I have an absolutely awful memory when it comes to who plays for who.

Wake of the Flood keeps returning as my favorite! It was the first CD of theirs I bought after a subconsciously self-imposed 10-year hiatus... brought on, I believe in retrospect, by Jerry's death. I just wasn't ready to listen to them again for a long time.

I played it today :-)

Weather Report Suite and Stella Blue are my faves... but when you are used to listening to whole albums at a time, individual songs pale in comparison to the work as a whole.
