A few bands I like right now are
we the kings, alien ant farm, all time low, lovehatehero, blessthefall, fun in washington, amber pacific, the stilleto formal, the shins, seconds to breathe, saosin, motion city soundtrack.

I'm pretty much open to all suggestions, except anyone who has been on the disney channel (hannah montana, jonas brothers)

Well I know that the bands I like are completely different than most of these bands, but hey something new can't hurt you can it? Listen to the Smashing Pumpkins album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness and I think you'll soon love them. One of the best songs I've ever heard, Thru the Eyes of Ruby, is on this album and will get you everytime. Also look up Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, and Tool. Some other suggestions are Iron Maiden, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, or Jethro Tull.

these kind of questions make me sick!

go to your local coffee shop (dance like iggy pop if you'd like) and just watch some local live bands. find cheap shows around your area.

not that hard to find great music.
