Megadeth or Metallica?

Which do you like better Megadeth or Metallica? explain in great detail if you can. Ive asked this question many times but now I'm asking again because both bands just released new albums.

Anyone going to see Mayhem and Hate December 11?

They both have goo and bad quality. I like both bands. But people are right, Megadeth are consistent but it would be nice to hear them do something different. Metallica experimented with their sound and went back to their old sound in their last album Death Magnetic. Metallica also do a great live show. And Metallica don't have a new Album out. Trust me, I'd know about it

Megadeth's overall discography beat's Metallica's, but Metallica's first 4 albums are just incredible. But Metallica's new albums SUCKS. I choose Megadeth.

Metallica For Ever !!!

Dave sound like sh*t on vocals.

Plus Metallica is not stuck in a cage, they can go and experiment new sound, not just same old stuff over and over again!!

BTW: plz tell me one song from load or reload that is actually mainstream, sure they are different but you don't see them singing them in there live preferment, No they play about 80% of there old heavy stuff !!

Plus just watch a Big 4 concert and you'll see how is better live !!!

One more think Metallica didn't release a new studio album yet !!!

I like Megadeth better because they still sound the same as when they formed. Metallica was good before their album "Load". Their albums progressively keep getting worse, although there is an okay song here and there, but most of their songs are unappealing to me. My vote goes to Megadeth.



Edit: I do like Metallica's older songs though.

my vote is for metallica for the following reasons:

They were the FIRST metal band Id every heard and will always carry a special spot for me



They are not afraid to verture out of they comfort zone. Id rather see them try something different and be not so good that to hear the same thing record after record. VERY few bands can do that (motorhead) metallica is not one of them tho. But when they do try something different alot of times I do enjoy it.



They are really big fans as well as musicians. I cant tell you how many bands ive got into becouse they would randomly say "hey have you heard these guys yet"



I personally feel they still have the same fire they always have had. And alot of there songs can paint a really good story

I actually really hate both. Cant stand either of them. But yeah, im going to see Mayhem. On Nov. 22nd though. And Keep of Kalessin. Gonna be f*cking awesome! Then Korpiklaani/Arkona on the 4th. Hell yeah! \m/

Megadeath. They are the 'underdog' sorta speak. & have stayed pretty consistent quality wise.



Metallica is overrated & overplayed. Especially given their quality goes down with every release. But somehow their fanbase keeps growing. With tweens thinking their totally metal bad@sses bc Metallicas their fave band..... SMH
