BQ- Nothing. You asked for a moment of silence.

so............ ( I think I will listen to "Enjoy the Silence" by Depeche Mode now though)

MQ- Cliff Burton. Having a Bus roll over on you in the wee hours of the morning I expect would be considered unexpected. And since he was 24, and aside from some beer and pot, not into self destruction I find it doubly tragic.

Kurt and Layne may have been a shock to some degreee, but with their respective pasts, heroin abuse, depression and other indicators, how truly unexpected could it have been? I remember when they announced Layne Staleys death ont he radio just kinda shaking my head because sad as it was, anyone who payed attention had seen it coming.

It would be like claiming Scott Weiland having an overdose as shocking. Really? Cause I never thought that junkies OD'd or anything.

Not trying to take away from them, just that I find the concept at their deaths as unexpected or shocking a little odd, when you put it into perspective compared to folks like Cliff or Dime ( shot to death ) that weren't on the path to self destruction.

Today is definitely and terrible day in the world of music.

I remember April 5, 1994. I first heard he died on my local news and then my buddy coming over to tell me. I was 11 years old when I saw his remembrance ceremony outside in Seattle a couple days later. I remember Courtney Love reading his suicidce note to the fans and remember that I also shed some tears. It was unbelievable. I couldn't believe it. A felt that this guys was our generation. He was the leader of grunge & my early generation. It was crazy. I just couldn't believe it. I was speechless.

R.I.P. Kurt Cobain (1967-1994) May he rock in the afterlife

BQ: The Breeders- Cannonball

MQ: Probably Robert Johnson. The father of Rock N' Roll and the original member of the notorious 27 Club.
