Johnny Cash, especially a Johnny Cash fan inspired by the bio-pic is an easy lead into early punk like the Ramones. Rockabilly and Punk sound pretty similar, I'd suggest trying some Hellbilly or Psychobilly as well. The Cramps, Hellvis, and Uncle Scratch's Gospel Revival all mix country with punk. Sometimes it seems like every punk band has coverd at least one Cash song.

My tastes are what they have been for a protracted time. I have been given rid of a few crap from my iPod over the previous couple of years inclusive of Nickelback, preclude, Fall Out Boy, Panic on the Disco. otherwise i haven't replaced lots different than looking new bands exceedingly lots.

Hmmmm...Your taste was awkward. But if that's the type of music you like, there's no problem, comparing to my taste: pure New Age music, ambiental music aka Yoga music. So you're ok.
