Just a survey for fans of The Clash. Forgive me, some questions are specific:

Favorite Mick Jones lead vocal?
Favorite Paul Simonon bassline?
Favorite cover song performed by the Clash?
Favorite dub Clash song?
Favorite Clash song before 1980?
Favorite Clash song after 1980?
Top 5 songs on 'Sandinista'?
Favorite use of a Clash song in a movie?
Favorite Clash song under 2 minutes?
Favorite Clash song over 5 minutes?
Least favorite Clash song?
Least favorite song on 'London Calling?'
Favorite offshoot of the Clash (ie anything the band members have been involved in)?

BQ: 'Sandinista,' overambitious mess or a flawed masterpiece?

"Train in Vain"

"London Calling"

"I Fought the Law"

"Guns of Brixton" (I assume by 'dub' you mean the genre)

"Train in Vain"

"Straight to Hell"

I've never listened to it straight through, but I like "The Magnificent Seven", "Hitsville UK", "Junco Partner", "Version Pardner", and "The Call Up".

Pass.

"Career Opportunities"

"Revolution Rock"

Don't really have one.

"Koka Kola"

The Pogues.

BA: I don't know, I've never listened to it straight through. Didn't we just go over this?

Mick Jones vocal - Up In Heaven (Not Only Here)

Paul Simonon bassline - London Calling

Cover song - Armagideon Time (particularly some of the live versions)

Dub Clash song - if you mean reggae White Man In hammersmith Palais ... if you mean specifically "dub" - I'll get back to you

Song before 1980 - Complete Control

After 1980 - Straight To Hell

Top 5 Sandinista - The Call Up, Broadway, Somebody Got Murdered, Up In Heaven , Lose This Skin (unusual and not strictly Clash but I think it's great)

In a movie - does Complete Control in Rude Boy count?

Under 2 minutes - I think What's My Name is under...?

Over 5 minutes - Straight To Hell

Least favourite - We Are The Clash (makes me cringe...and I like Oi!)

Least favourite on London Calling - Wrong 'Em Boyo

Offshoot - Joe Strummer's "Love Kills" single

BQ - somewhere between the two - overambitious certainly but can't help but admire the ambition. I've read that when recording Strummer had moved into the studio and built his own hideaway known as the "spliff bunker" - I think that explains a lot!

LOL. I want I knew there exchange right into a custom. people who attend those conventions are somewhat severe-high quality, uhmm in line with hazard on the somewhat extraordinary area, yet often severe-high quality. As for the clashing, in line with hazard they have been in basic terms the onlookers. not each and every attendee are followers, ideologically talking of direction. some are retailers out to attain revenues with memorabilia, shop sakes and tshirts, contraptions and uniforms. i'd think of they'd be scuffling with for high revenues places.
