I'm kinda ashamed to say it but... "Hella Good" by No Doubt has such a kicking 80's sound to it.. I can't help but at least bob my head when it's on.

My list:

Hella Good - No Doubt

Save it for Later - English Beat

Jump Around - House of Pain

Insane in the Membrane - Cypress Hill

The Bad Touch - The Bloodhound Gang (LOL)

The American in Me - X

Perfect - Smashing Pumpkins

I dance a lot, especially with some "liquid courage" Here's some that get me movin:

Thriller-MJ (who doesn't do a little bit of that zombie walk when they are at a party?)

You Spin Me- I prefer the Dope version but Dead or Alive will suffice

Puttin on the Ritz- This is probably due to my love of the movie Young Frankenstein!

I've got more, I just gotta think on it, lol.

Really depends on if I'm sober or not..........

Normally:

Sweet - Ballroom Blitz

The Kinks - Destroyer

Buddy Holly - Not Fade Away

Sublime - Wrong Way

The Contours - Do You Love Me (Now That I Can Dance).......it never fails

Jane's Addiction - Stop!

Social D - Story Of My Life

Steppenwolf - Magic carpet Ride

Van Morrison - Brown Eyed Girl

if I'm drunk.......well pretty much anything

It might be easier for me to answer - What song WON'T make me dance?

I seriously will dance to anything (and if I've had enough to drink, I think I'm pretty good, too!)

Most recently, The Gorillaz Feel Good Inc gets me moving, and (oh GAWD!) SexyBack by Justin Timberlake.

On a slightly older level, Sex on Wheels by My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, Sin by NIN, The Beastie Boys' Sure Shot or Juke-Joint Jezebel by KMFDM get me going....

Going back further - Atomic Dog by George Clinton & The P-Funk All Stars, Brickhouse by the Commodores, or Rappers Delight by Sugar Hill Gang....

*******

Sookie, I'm starting to think I'm the R&P lush....all my answers seem to involve drunken karaoke, dollar pitcher days, dancing while less-than-sober.....

Promise you'll stage an R&P intervention if I get too outta control, okay? :)

I'm sort of in agreement with Mike. It would have nothing to do with said song but rather the amount of alcohol, and rest assured, it would take plenty.

Somehow I have a feeling Sookie and Sylvia would hit it off rather well. :)

It could just as easily be a Jack-o song if you pick enough of the right concoction.

A lot of Grindcore songs make me want to dance. And no, I don't expect most people to know what I'm talking about. LOL.

Edit: Well a good way to sum it up is Death Metal with pig squeal screams, and breakdowns. (Thats if you know what a breakdown is. Haha.)

And though I hate to admit it, I'll probably dance to "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go"

The answer to this question is proportionate to the number of beers and / or Jack and Cokes I've had.

See Sylvia, no interventions needed. We can all spiral downwards together.
